Well since I am Irish, I say, "Keep up the Good Work." More proof that Obama is actually Irish. What, you didn't know the name was originally spelled, O' Bama? and no link needed.

We've visited the Falkland Islands. Much of the land is now permanently unusable because the Argentineans mined it with plastic covered explosives (not detectable with metal detectors) in some sort of "scorched earth policy" of making sure no one could live or farm there.

Maybe we can find our Pakistani enemies within the government and parachute them into these lands to find the explosives...parachutes optional.

I didn't know that. The trouble with mines , they are there long after the conflict, in some cases actually forgotten of , the conflict, except by some Historian lost for something to write about , that caused them to be laid in the first place I would think they would be anti personnel as they didn't expect any Armor to be there, and am not sure if there is a life expectancy with them. I thought I read that that was something that was going to be looked into, mines of the future, a law , like the Geneva conventions rule of wars, though how do you enforce it. Even if anti Personnel and ran those mine clearing vehicles over the areas, no guarantee to get them all I am afraid. I wonder if they are really even trying to remove them, the Brits, it would have to be them, butt they are so broke now. The men lost there , buried on the Island , think that is how the Brits do it anyway, don't bring their lost home, possible from the days of the Empire , but today, think they could do a better job of it for the families of the lost, some comfort and closure.

Yeah- this sounds like people we should cozy up to.
