Palin's Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in JuneShortly after Republicans swept last November to a historic victory in which Sarah Palin was credited with playing a central role, the former Alaska governor pulled aside her close aide, Rebecca Mansour, to discuss a hush-hush assignment: Reach out to conservative filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon with a request. Ask him if he would make a series of videos extolling Palin's governorship and laying to rest lingering questions about her controversial decision to resign from office with a year-and-a-half left in her first term. It was this abdication, Palin knew, that had made her damaged goods in the eyes of some Republicans who once were eager to get behind her potential 2012 presidential campaign. The response was more positive than Palin could have hoped for. He'd make a feature-length movie, Bannon told Mansour, and he insisted upon taking complete control and financing it himself -- to the tune of $1 million. The fruits of that initial conversation are now complete. The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska's most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin's prospective presidential campaign -- an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won't run. Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin's effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade. The film will also appeal to staunch Palin supporters who have long celebrated her biting rhetoric and conservative populism yet know little about her record in Alaska and have perhaps written her off as presidential material. "This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment," Bannon told RealClearPolitics. "Let's have a good old-fashioned brouhaha." I can't wait to see it. I just know I'm going to fall in love with Sarah all over again. I'll come to realize that she's a genius and not a stupid self-serving bitch. I can't wait...
I think the movie title should be something like Morons-R-Us or The Wasilla Hillbillies or The Grifters or Daisy Mae Mooseburger. I think the actual title is The Undefeated. I'm sure it won't measure up to the John Wayne/Rock Hudson movie titled the same.

I'd rather trust a countryman than a townman, You can judge by his eyes, take a look if you can, Hell smile through his guard, Survival trains hard. I'd rather trust a man who works with his hands, He looks at you once, you know he understands, Dont need any shield, When you're out in the field.

Interesting.
I wonder where the movie will be shown.
And most Palin supporters I know don't really care for Senator McCain.
By the way, according to Wikipedia: Hillbilly is a term referring to certain people who dwell in rural, mountainous areas of the United States, primarily Appalachia but also the Ozarks. Owing to its strongly stereotypical connotations, the term is frequently considered derogatory, and so is usually offensive to those Americans of Appalachian heritage.

I'll be glad to see it. I love Sarah, but still have reservations about her as POTUS. That could be from the negative publicity that is impossible to avoid. We'll see. In the mean time I am excited that Sarah and her family may move to AZ. She will fit in here. AZ is pretty laid back. Not sure how the weather will affect them, but they can always go north in the summer like all the rich people do. One undeniable thing about Sarah. She cannot be silenced, or put on the back burner. I love that in a woman. PLUS-- she stays true to who she is. No flip flopping, trying to look more refined or liberal than she is. Great appeal to an AZ transplant from TX like myself. I love people that show signs of being real, honest to God humans that know how to do every day things and deal with every day issues. Go, Sarah!

I was just thinking about the climate shock that would come from relocating from Alaska to Arizona. UGH!

You don't like Gabby, Lak, our elected newly conservativish liberal rep?? Or is it McCain, who is basically Gabby but an older man....or could it be our awesome Gov Brewer that is working very hard to restore fiscal sanity and protect her state from the illegal invasion? We DO have some problems in AZ, but if you don't like our cures you must support our symptoms.

Krickitt, I read some time ago it is Sarah’s daughter that purchased a house in Pinal County. It would make sense if Sarah moved to AZ if she ran for the presidency or for Jon Kyl’s Senate seat.
