So far, the only viable republican candidates that could beat Obama are Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney and John Huntsman. I like Huntsman however, Romney will be nominated.

reasonfreedom,
Uh, I tried to makes some sense of your post, and frankly, I could not.
I admitted I really don't know Ron Paul. It's just that when he goes and says stuff about legalizing heroin at the Republican debate, it makes him seem SO radical that I think he scares off people who don't understand the concept of personal responsibility.
I do know that his fans are fanatical about him. But, I think (and this is just my opinion) that he's just too far away from the mainstream to get the "undecided" or "independants" to vote for him.
I admit that Herman Cain is a longshot. I believe his strength is his ablility to speak plainly. Everybody can understand what he's trying to say. I'm just not sure enough people "get" Ron Paul. (Maybe I'm one of them. I don't know. I'm sure I will learn more about him in the months to come.)

reasonfreedom, Uh, I tried to makes some sense of your post, and frankly, I could not. I'm sure I will learn more about him in the months to come.) Oh, I am not fanatical about him I just have a tendency to see reason and common sense. Do you have the documentation or quotation with him legalizing heroine, I think again you took the MSM's bs or totally misunderstood the true statement he made. Let me educate you on what he thinks about drugs. He thinks that federally drugs should be decriminalized and the states are the ones to regulate(constitutionally right). He thinks the parents should be the ones regulating whether their children are doing drugs. Seriously, what would make you think someone that does not do heroine or sell it would purposely want to legalize heroine. You do realize he is a doctor and has had a medical practice for many years. The main reason for decriminalizing drugs is because of the liberty issue(hence him being a libertarian), that the federal government is overreaching its authority to tell you what you can or can't do. What about tobacco and alcohol? Both have killed more people than marijuana/heroine and they are legal. Did you know that the only drug that is fatal to recover from withdraws is alcohol? Yep, still legal. You act like he condones the drugs which in fact he trying to protect your liberties. See when I read something I try and understand it( hence why humans have reason) not just take it for what the lettering says. Ex. If a cop says he killed somebody yesterday are you going to think he is a bad person and should be locked up? What if you were top find out he did it to save 30 children from being slaughtered? That is what is wrong with the majority of society today they don't think behind their first impressions(lack of reasoning). For instance they think " Hope and Change" is the best thing in the world. Yeah hope is good, but what does it accomplish? Nothing, you can't just hope to win the lottery you have to purchase a ticket? Change is kind of envitable, but is it change for the good or bad? Don't get me wrong, I don't think he is flawless I like how his thinking reminds me of my morale and ethical up bringing. As far as Cain, I don't really know anything about him yet but I plan on researching him thoroughly here in a little bit.
