www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=43461As usual Ann nails it! The.dems care only about power and Obama is the most obvious in that campaign! Every decision he makes is weighted by the political advantage he can gain or lose. This election will be about the American people protecting their own interest in liberty pitted against the liberals march toward socialism and a.permanent hold on power!

The memorandum warned school districts that it's illegal to ask students for proof of citizenship or legal residency status.
It's also illegal to ask people if they are illegal. So.....(just a shot in the dark here) why not bring it to a vote & make it LEGAL? The courts can fight it out in 10 or 15 years but until then we can try to take our country back & also save the money that the illegals are costing us.
(or is he afraid that he will lose the illegal vote)?

Kids that live in Mexico have been picked up at the border and taken to school here in AZ for YEARS!!! www.federalobserver.com/2010/05/05/arizona-yesterday-and-today-the-cost-of-educating-illegal-invaders/We have TRIED to fix this, but it never seems to work-- lots of opposition in AZ to all things to do with enforcing the LAWS re illegals. I guess Obama is now telling us WE are violating something by trying to stop this insanity?? We actually have sting videos of AZ school buses, 3 of them, picking up at the border in the dark, kids walking right across the checkpoint and getting on the buses. They all use one address in the US, which is a vacant lot. Investigation also shows they are receiving US benefits such as food stamps and medical. I guess if they can birth them here and live in a border area on the Mexico side they are set for life. So Obama is saying we have no RIGHT to ask where kids live?? ? Link starts out years ago, has updates. Lots of links to this, I just picked the first one. www.federalobserver.com/2010/05/05/arizona-yesterday-and-today-the-cost-of-educating-illegal-invaders/

Yeah. I WOULD vote for her for Kyl's Senate seat. POTUS, no. Senate, yes. Dems want Gabby Giffords.. we'll see if she is well enough by then.

So Obama is saying we have no RIGHT to ask where kids live??
It seems to me that schools ALWAYS ask that to find out if you live in the same district as the school. They won't let you go to a "better" school unless you live in that district.
I "assume" that illegal aliens are exempt from that rule (like they are for a lot of rules). I guess that they aren't exempt from everything if what I saw on another thread was correct (27% of CA prisoners are illegal aliens).

The interesting dichotomy on this, is it is okay to ask if a student being enrolled in a public school by their parents if they live within the school district.

This will never work. Just another not well thought out idea. Pandering to the illegals, again, with no thought of the big picture, as Savoir pointed out.
