I totally agree! Where's the outrage? Yeah, it's not unlike someone starting a thread claiming that Rep. Michelle Bachmann's supporters made threats against someone on TEA Party websites and then you read the article and you discover that: 1. The article doesn't establish any threats were made at all. 2. The article doesn't identify anyone making the threats, if they were made, as a supporter of Rep Bachmann, or even a conservative at all. 3. The article cites not one post, nor does it identify a single website where the alleged posts were made. Bingo Paul, K. ;D

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

We're all some shade of brown, when it comes right down to it. Some of us are light brown and some are dark brown. Some are tinged with red, or yellow, or even blue; however, we're all basically brown. So what? What difference does it really make?

It's just another example of a person trying to create God in her image, to her own taste, for her own purposes and politics.
We are created in God's image, not vice versa.
A god created in your own mind, in your own image is an idol, it is yourself, nothing more.
The reverend is a heretic.

I read the article when you first posted it. What did you want to discuss? ... The reverend is a heretic. Tenn, there is the answer to your question.

You have a problem with the God of the Bible, billis? ... No more (or less) of a problem than I have with any other characters of any other book.

Here we go again bashing people who have a different idea than yours...I thought only libs and non-Christians did that. really? none of the liberal, non-Christian people I know will argue with you over your choice of god(dess) to worship, should you choose to do so. I find more abrasive reactions from the Bible Belt, where I also have friends. to me, your God or Goddess is who and how you see him/her. I love mollymouser's comment that God is Spirit. I do not share her religious views, but I am in line with this view. to me, Spirit encompasses all, the original elements of Earth/Air/Fire/Water, and is ever present. how you choose to view that entity is your business.

I am curious, what difference does it make what color God is? Every culture since religion has portrayed God in their color. That just seems natural to me. Much ado about nothing it seems.

When my post came up I realized that Tenn... had already posted that it was krickitt who had brought Palin's name up in the thread and didn't see any reason for my reply that stated the same thing to remain. So, who did I "lambast"?
