He doesn't get a pass on the "scare tactics and intimidation" charge for being one hundred percent correct?

no question, cuts are needed ,,and the only place of importance is those sacred cows, defense, social, entitlements and on and on so the Pubs have it right as do the Dems too...warning cut , but don't go nuts and just cut , if it is harmful to our recovery.

He doesn't get a pass on the "scare tactics and intimidation" charge for being one hundred percent correct? Not in my book because the fundamental problems are not being sufficiently addressed. Is this to be the new norm? maintain the status quo and simply repeat the same old refrain year after year until there really is no way out but the inevitable and final collapse of the system? He is only right because we are now at the point the can was previously kicked to. What will prevent "default" next year?

It would be very nice if we were in a position to not have the debt increase above the current legal ceiling but everyone agrees that we aren't. If we don't increase the debt ceiling it will be "'worse than anything we saw in...". Truth.

True enough bills. The circular reasoning has to stop eventually though, and it will one way or the other. I'm afraid though that the time for "we can do it the easy way or the hard way" is long past.......it's going to be the hard way.

It's not going to stop by our govt. It will stop when the world eventually repudiates the dollar. Talk about pain when it happens...

I certainly hope that this prompts the new Congress uses this as an opportunity to reign in spending. Let's face it, they'll lift the ceiling it's just how much the dems are going to have to give to get it.
