So one ad makes the entire party desperate, huh? Here, let me show you desperate: "GOP Freshmen On Medicare Attacks: Let's Let Bygones Be Bygones" tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/05/gop-freshmen-on-medicare-attacks-lets-let-bygones-be-bygones.php"On Tuesday, Kinzinger and 41 of his colleagues sent a letter to President Obama, asking him to rein in Democratic attacks on GOP members who voted for the House budget, which includes a plan to privatize Medicare and cap spending on the program." When you have to beg the Dems not to attack you because you're either a lemming partisan or don't have the brains to see that abysmal failure of the Ryan Plan, that's desperate. And I'm talking about actual Congressmen, not some random people who made an ad. Is this making any sense perspective-wise? I hope so. Or how about Gingrich, who "mistakenly" *nudge nudge, wink wink* said how radical the Ryan Plan was? Kinda sad he had to retract about the only truthful thing he's said in a while. Bad RepuBorgican! Bad! Bad! From the OP article: Really? They have to "drum up opposition"? "Republicans drop Ryan plan to gut Medicare" www.thedailybeast.com/cheat-sheet/item/gop-drops-plan-to-gut-medicare/You know, the thing most people at town halls hated? "How Town Hall Protests Against Paul Ryan's Plan Changed the Medicare Debate" www.thenation.com/blog/160503/how-town-hall-protests-against-paul-ryans-plan-changed-medicare-debateWhy's that? Well... "Poll shows Americans oppose entitlement cuts to deal with debt problem" asapnys.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/wsj-poll-indicates-americans-against-cutting-medicaid-and-medicare-to-solve-national-debt/"The survey finds that Americans prefer to keep Medicare just the way it is. Most also oppose cuts in Medicaid and the defense budget. More than half say they are against small, across-the-board tax increases combined with modest reductions in Medicare and Social Security benefits. Only President Obama’s call to raise tax rates on the wealthiest Americans enjoys solid support." Except for defense, the Ryan plan does exactly the opposite of what American people want. Think The Blaze might be a tad partisian? Maybe just a teensie bit? Like one ad is going to exonerate Republicans. That's what Republicans would look like if they ever removed that plank from their eyes first. How's the death panel and Sharia law thing going? They're not buying your kind either, so for the sake of balance, give yourself whatever the opposite of that back pat you gave yourself. And could you do that about 1,000 times for all the self declared victories, etc. you post on this board alone?

"Poll shows Americans oppose entitlement cuts to deal with debt problem"
Ya think? Of course people are not going to want to see entitlements cut, even if we really really need to.

Way to avoid the topic, kitty. The ad speaks for itself. IF there was all this alleged opposition, and splitting in the Republican ranks-- then why then you wouldn't be seeing ads like this one from anyone on the left. The left is in full-blown freak out mode right now. It's fun to watch.

"Poll shows Americans oppose entitlement cuts to deal with debt problem" Ya think? Of course people are not going to want to see entitlements cut, even if we really really need to. When you get into specifics of entitlement reform and you restrict your polls to LIKELY VOTERS-- the most accurate predictor-- then you find that Americans are quite willing to have the discussion. Everywhere you look, you find people willing to consider alternatives to the failed liberalism we've been dealing with since the early 1900's. It's over. The left knows it. And that's why you're seeing this kind of outrageous, deliberately inflammatory, lying advertising.

It wouldn't be murder, more like depraved indifference. A lot of under 55 voters aren't gonna forget this one. Keep drifting right and embrace the extremists, we will be happy for the republicans to stay out of power for the next decade.

Has Barrack "Mr. Civility" Obama spoken out yet?
Oh yeah, only Republicans need to be civil, not Democrats and certainly not that classless Kenyan in the White House.

You mean that the ad is hysterical? Wow, why don't make a thread proclaiming water is wet or something? Oh, and sorry to ruin the little circle jerk going on, but maybe try painting with a less broad brush next time. And not necessarily for anything or anyone else. Or should I find some nutty Conservatives and declare all others like them? Oh, here's one: "POLL FINDS EIGHTY PERCENT OF SERIAL KILLERS VOTE REPUBLICAN" scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Politics/pages-3/Poll-finds-eighty-percent-of-serial-killers-vote-Republican-Scrape-TV-The-World-on-your-side.html“Across the board, serial killers are predominantly conservative in their political leanings. Gary Ridgeway, Dennis Rader, and probably the biggest name of all, Ted Bundy, were all active in the Republican Party at some level." Quizzing other killers showed the same thing, that the vast majority vote Republican,” said lead pollster David Quick. “We gain no analysis from this, it garners us no insight into the workings of the minds of conservative politicians or serial killers, but it is an overwhelming majority. Because serial killers come from diverse backgrounds and possess vastly different IQ’s they appear to have nothing in common save their conservative ideals and their desire to butcher people. It’s compelling data to be sure.” How's your own medicine tasting, Dr. paul? That's a craptacular if then statement. The truth is independent of one group's ad. I like how you ignore my previous message and use that ad to prove your whole point. "Don't look behind that curtain!" When you bought your computer, did the salesman tell you it was a magic machine and anything you type on it become true? You know that self declared victories mean nothing? "Harry Reid to force Senate vote on Paul Ryan's budget" www.politico.com/news/stories/0411/53824.htmlHow's that for a "freak out"? Everywhere being wherever you sit in front of your computer and see your reflection on the screen and some people on the internet. I'd say today is empty rhetorical clap-trap day, but that's pretty much every day with Conservatives. Right, because the left has a monopoly on that. Still waiting to see those death panels... Yeah, because those rich people really need it. It's one thing to cut because we have to; it's another to give it to to millionaires, hoping they'll turn into sugar daddies and give out jobs "just because." Judging yours and others' posts, you must all be Democrats. Hint: knee-jerk responses aren't the height of civility.

I wonder if anyone is really dumb enough to make a political decision on something so ridiculous?? It's funny in an off beat way, but it's creepy, too.

It's really sad-- because instances of real racism are going to go either unnoticed, or not taken seriously as a result of the far left loons crying racism as an excuse everytime their political opponents correctly point out their miserably failed policy results.

The survey finds that Americans prefer to keep Medicare just the way it is.
******************************************************************
And I would prefer a staff of 50 to wait on me hand and foot, and a flying wedge of security personnel to accompany me and my family on a year long tour of the world. It doesn't matter what people "prefer". It matters what we can afford. Medicare "just the way it is" is going to be eliminated. The choices are- voluntarily, thoughtfully, and in a well-controlled manner; or involuntarily, abruptly, and out of control with unknown, possibly catastrophic consequences not merely for the recipients, but for the nation as a whole. You really have to stop denying this fact, face it, and come to the table with constructive ideas for repairing and reforming the program long term if you want to make progress in any kind of constructive dialogue.

Oh Lord...funny. Already forgotten is how republicans got seniors thinking all their benefits were being taken away when Obama suggested cuts to Medicare Advantage, or how poor Trig will have to stand before a death panel and plead for his life,or how your life savings are in danger because in Obamacare it is mandated the government has access to all your bank accounts. Or doctors are already quiting their jobs because they fear mandated insurance and there will be a huge shortage. The list goes on and on....

That has not been proved to be false, has it? We'll see, and I thing Dems will be shocked. Well, not really, because we are going to defund that monster, as well as rule it illegal, so in the end it will turn out to have been a big Democrat political game.
