I know this could illicit a lot of different answer, but what are some of the things you feel are both right and wrong with our government?

It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

Do you mean the current government, politically incorrect, or do you mean the overall structure of our government?

In a word corruption. The reason why its corrupt is because of money interests that promotes the agenda and politicians that don't look at their service as service but view it as a career path to be protected and maintained.
What we need to do is separate the money interest from the politicians. Since politicans solicit corporate money to keep their jobs and corporations (and other powerful lobbies like unions) are happy to give it to them in exchange for favorable legislation then we need to limit by law the years politicans can serve since no snout of legislation will be enough to limit what corporations do and besides such laws would actually restrict liberty. We must enact term limits. The voice of the people has to be loud and persistent in this because politicans are not going to kill the golden goose! The president has term limits there's no reason why everyone in congress shouldn't be subjected to them no matter how good a job they do! Term limits NOW!!!

Growing up to become a politician is a new phenomenon. When this country was founded, the representatives and senators had a full time job and life outside of the political realm. Their service to this country was usually not wanted, but seen as a necessary contribution to the well-being of our country and was part-time at that. Now it's a career that is sought after because of the benefits to the person - not what the country can benefit from that person.

The primary thing that is wrong with government is that it consumes too much of our nation's resources and is unaccountable to the people it supposedly exists to serve. And this true regardless of your view about what the role of government is. The thing that is right about government are the people in it. Unfortunately, many of them-- about a third-- are going to have to go. But for the most part government employees are decent people who are simply going to work every day and don't mean any harm. We just can't afford them.

We've allowed our country to be run by the small interest groups. The majority is no longer being heard. The tail is wagging the dog. There is no longer a dog - only a tail

1. Why does the President have term limits, but not the Senate or the House of Representatives?

Congress: a word that can imply an incestuous relationship. For example; congress is having congress with GE.
