It wouldn't matter if he were left or right of center, he's just comes across as an arrogant prick.

Dear Ms. RoseGarden, you are of course absolutely correct as always. Been thinking of you and the wonderful times we had back on the music forum. Even though most of it was horrible and not worth listening to, you were worth the price of admission. Please give my regards to the "quitter" and my warmest thoughts to you. /Dalton

He's like a bratty little kid. Every time he opens his mouth, out roll the insults. Even worse, his "followers" giggle at his arrogance towards American people. Disgusting. AT-- good job. My fav source for commentary pieces..

And the quitter's been lurking some, just real busy IRL...

Because I remember all the strong negative feelings I had about Reagan and the same dismay and disbelief that there were millions of people in the country who actually admired and respected him. I don't post here often, so let me add I am completely serious. Listening to Reagan gave me an almost physical pain and with many anti-Obama comments I read here and elsewhere, I suspect you are all in the same position I was in all those years ago.

Charisma is an interesting thing. I loved Reagan even when I knew he was lying through his teeth and despite knowing he allowed his wife to emotionally devastate his adopted son and his own children. Clinton set my teeth on edge but Obama has caused the eff word to be introduced to my vocabulary. I want to throw up when I see Obama go up or down stairs. That insane hand thing and the doofy expression. . . .

I find charisma to be less effective from my point of view, as I don't watch television. What a person looks like, whether in real life, or in pictures, has no real effect on me. Before I'll form an opinion of an individual, I have to get to know them as a person ... not as an appearance, or an animated container. I've known some truly brilliant and wonderful people who were anything but attractive.

The smirk is what makes me see red. El Paso was the worst yet... Since I don't have TV and watch almost no politician video clips I'd have to see it a few times and speak to him too. His "smirk" may or may not mean what you think it does. My former boss misread my expression and believed I was smirking from time to time but it was my way of laughing at myself and my situation without saying anything that might get me into trouble. Maybe that's Obama's issue or may be its not. How we see other people depends a lot on how we see ourselves and what our worries and fears are. Most people forget that what a person does has more to say about them then it does about you. I agree some of what I have seen reported about Obama appears insensitive but so were Bush comments. Maybe those who are worried people look down on them are the ones who are seeing smirks directed at them and it may just be his facial expression when he's trying to hold something personal back that has nothing to do with the situation at hand. I don't know. I do know I got unfairly maligned a bit by my boss due to her own perceptions, not the truth.

Nice you have so much time to form your opinions. I don't so I rely on instinct, common sense and selective reasoning. Concerning Obama, I was dead right.

Obama is one that says a lot with his body language and facial expressions. Yeah, you can actually tell a lot more about him through video than print - he's got a lot of good writers on staff who try to keep his head above water. That's really the only place you can get a "feel" for him... otherwise I don't know what's him vs a writer.
