Anyone have a recipe for a dip like Moe's Southwest Grill's Queso? Their's is a white cheesy like dip and I really like it. All the ones I've seen are with Velveeta and I don't really like the flavor of that much.
Thanks!

google is wonderful. I may try this myself, actually. I've never gotten it when I've gone, mainly because I love the (free) salsa bar. maybe the next time I go in... anyway, the question specifically called out Moe's white queso sauce. answer: Creamy and spicy white nacho cheese sauce made with Monterey Jack cheese, cream, and peppers Yield: 6 servings Ingredients: 1/2 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon oil 5 cups (20 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup chopped canned hot peppers, such as jalapeno peppers, Hungarian hot peppers, or pepperoncini peppers* 2 firm tomatoes, peeled Tortilla chips, for serving Instructions: 1. Heat oil in a deep pan and saute onions for about 5 minutes or until they start to soften. 2. Reduce heat to low-medium low and add cheese, cream, and peppers. Cook and stir until mixture melts and becomes a creamy sauce. 3. Cut tomatoes in half and scrape out the seeds; discard seeds. Slice flesh into thin strips (about 1/4-inch wide and 1-2 inches long) and stir into sauce. 4. Warm tortilla chips on a tray in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until hot. Pour the cheese sauce into a serving dish and serve warm, with the heated chips.

Thank you Chiver! I tried Googling it but didn't find that one - it looks pretty close to the one at Moe's, but I'll bet they don't put cream and fresh tomatoes in it. I'll bet they use Rotel.

I put moe's into my search bar, and queso dip was on the drop-down list. I agree, they probably use canned tomato of some sort.
last weekend, I wandered over to a brand-new BJ's club in my area to check it out. the cooler/freezer area was huge, and there was a big section dedicated to all Moe's stuff. if this recipe doesn't work for you, see if you can buy it somewhere other than the restaurant.

Ooh! I never thought to try the club stores. I have a membership to Sam's so I'll have to check there. I don't have a BJ's near me but I may be going out of town soon so I'll look for one where I'm going.
Thanks!
