Just think — if Huckabee passes on a national campaign, he’ll be able to focus on promoting these cartoons all the time.
Don’t quit your day job, Mike. (from the link in the OP) Do quit your day job, Mike. I think you would do less long term damage on the campaign trail.

WOW! I had never made the connection before. The country did really start downhill with the introduction of disco. She does look very subversive. Thanks Mike.

We need to ban all this religious lunacy from the planet. We all will be better off without it.

I always get a kick out of the myth that Reagan demanded Gorby tear down the wall, and out of fear,he did. In real life, the cold war ended because Gorby was moderate, and he did not want to keep up with our spending.

Huckabee is out to educate kids on how Reagan and republicans saved the
Wow, somewhere they are teaching a conservative view of history? It doesn't balance out with all the colleges teaching a liberal view but it's a start. Thanks for the info, it gives me hope.

It has become a buzzword like socialist. I don't know that socialist is a buzzword. It's just one of those words that means the same thing as another word & they can be used interchangeably. Democrat, socialist, same thing.

If you aren't "indoctrinating " your children, you are not being a parent. That is your job. ... That is certainly one model of parenting. Another is to help a young human being that you have either brought into the world or into your life to find their own truth and path.

Funny though, how it called "indoctrination" when it involves a point of view one doesn't personally agree with. Go figure. The 'gay agenda' and teaching tolerance in school comes to mind. Or as a few posters like to say recruiting school kids to switch teams just for the heck of it because everyone knows it's a choice.

Can't we all agree that the quality of the animation is ridiculously poor? Who would spend $13-$14 a month to get a new visual trainwreck no matter the history presented?

As in the people with money pay for the people without money = socialism. Socialist healthcare. President Obama's healthcare program is a wealth redistribution program, & that equals socialism.

Mandating people buy insurance is not socialism, imo. I think the many republicans that stated everyone in America has healthcare, just use the emergency room is more socialist in nature. Do you consider medicare and SS socialism since wealth is redistributed from one group to another?

Nothing forcing you to buy a product. Except Obamacare, of course. Don't like it, don't buy it.

That is certainly one model of parenting. Another is to help a young human being that you have either brought into the world or into your life to find their own truth and path. That sounds nice and all fluffy. But, there are certain things you "indoctrinate" your children with. Things like, be kind, share, don't rape, kill, murder, etc. You can call it indoctrination or whatever. No, there may be certain things that you "indoctrinate" your children with, but don't just assume that I do/did. I modeled behaviors. My children saw those behaviors and generally emulated them. Times that they made other choices, we talked about the consequences that they had faced.

I would swear billsonboard said he led/taught his children by example.
I guess I misread reply #21. I take back that karma I gave him.

... Shouting "indoctrination" is just a way to try to discredit another point of view that's all. That I would generally agree with.

In the 70's I was taught the Rooseevelt's New Deal saved the world. So, I'm totally cool with covering the positive aspects of Regan's presidency. I wonder if my parents cringed when they heard the promotion of socialism in such a nice school.

I wonder if my parents cringed when they heard the promotion of socialism in such a nice school. I was taught the New Deal saved us and got us out of the Great Depression. I was never taught that Hoover was a big government progressive Republican whose destructive anti-trade policies sparked the trade war that got us into the Great Depression in the first place; nor that Roosevelt's massive expansion of government exacerbated and prolonged the depression so that it became the "Great Depression". There was some suggestion that WWII is what really got us out of the Depression, but it was mostly the New Deal. Allegedly.

If it gets into the public school curriculum, then it's indoctrination. Mmm, mmm, mmm, Barack Hussein Obama...
