...yes... many nations of the world are hurting... I think it sadder, still, when problems are preventable...

Yes, it is sad that a country acts in ways that make civilized nations shun them and starves their own people.

Not my problem. America has their own problems we need to address and deal with. They need to learn to take care of their own and prepare for the future. no one stopped them from growing food, they are just too dependent on the American taxpayers to raise, feed and protect them.
Sorry, but it's time to pay your bills for the American services provided to your people and country.

Very unfortunate, however with the loss of crops in China, Russia, Australia, America etc due to the vast weather issues this year, they will not get much help from abroad. They are going to be forced to be self reliant or starve.

In reality the weather along with their own government prevents them from preparing for the future. A government that cares nothing for it's own people. It's as bad or worse than Ghadafi imo. Slaughter with weapons or starvation. I would opt for the quicker slaughter myself.

The international community has been reluctant to renew assistance to Pyongyang after violent incidents last year. North Korea is blamed for the sinking of a South Korean naval vessel in the Yellow Sea. Pyongyang denies responsibility. The North also shelled a South Korean island, saying it was provoked by a South Korean military exercise.
Darn that's to bad about them having to suspend military exercises because of food shortages. (just another example that socialist/ communist systems don't work btw). Anyway my suggestion is to sell them wheat/corn etc at the normal price PLUS 1 rifle per bushel.

The answer is a regime change, the $ they have, goes to food production, no one is going to invade them, but it won't happen...if they did then there would be help by introduction of better seeds , fertilizer, and such aid so they would not be in this situation, but as I said, won't happen...

This may be a sad situation, but taking the food out of the mouths of the American people and giving it to them would be wrong.
They have warehouses where they could have stored up on supplies as people do here in America and other countries.
This is sad, but I haven't even seen or heard a word about it on the news once. I wonder why?
Countries shouldn't become reliant and dependent on one another. You pizz off too many people then they will not come to your aide if you don't kizz their azzes and bow before them.

I can't imagine anything more dangerous than a psychotic dictator armed with nukes and a starving population.

Eerie I just watched a national geographic documentary today on N. Korea the scary thing it documented is the children tend to be 8 inches and 22lbs lighter than the children the same age in the south. The concentration camps for dissenters and Innocent family members was quite sad as well where most including children never leave alive and most starve to death or die from disease. Very creepy how they worship their "great leader".

Also form what was portrayed their philosophy is to not accept help from outside that they can produce all they need themselves (even though an obvious failure). The "great leader" ordered all humanitarian aid workers out of the country a few years ago as well, were there working on malnutrition so incredibly sad.

Besides, there are no regulations or laws there either. It is all the personal whim of the "Dear Leader." Until the people stand up and throw off the oppression of the regime in charge, no change can happen. Give them enough time and hunger and they will forcibly demand change.

And we have troops right across the magic line that would help them fight, probably. The nukes are an issue. The tyrant is untouchable because of the nukes. Just like Iran will soon be.

The "nukes" are a non-issue. They MAY have a crude bomb or two but they have no means of delivery other than by truck. The only test firing they did was extremely small, so small it actually could of been conventional explosives with some radioactive material dispersed when the explosion occurred. But, most likely it was a small atomic bomb. It is probably wiser to let them starve or use their resources to feed their people instead of making war materials. The faster the regime collapses, the faster things can get to a normal state in the whole of Korea.

Sure there are rich people Paul. Their names are Dear Leader and Sons, a family business. Don't think our country might not go the same way if we don't get the Kleptocracy under control. Oh the Kleptocracy will be brought under control once we move to a Plutocracy.

Oh, I'm not baiting. I'm simply not missing an opportunity to point out where statism leads.

So you think by raising taxes on rich and regulating business we will end up like N. Korea? I don't see the conection, they are a totalitarian dictatorship much more than statists anyway.
