IF he follows through. without doing so, then he is afoul of the state's conflict of interest laws. I don't see where pointing out facts is ever considered whining. please post back and update us all when he does completes setting up his blind trust, k? thanks.

He'd have done it already, but for the fac that the deal ist: So, that means all that's needed to jam him up is a malcontent bureaucrat or two to hold up the deal.

from your own quote - and I double-checked the Florida Today original link - the regulatory approval you quote in your 2nd post refers to the sale of his interest in Solantic Corp, which wasn't even considered by the ethics committee. the trust he needs to follow through on setting up is for everything else that was considered, which wasn't up for regulatory approval according to the article.
so it really doesn't matter if anybody's got their panties in a twist about it the sale, because it doesn't have anything to do with having a conflict of interest per the decision from the ethics committee.
as I said, please post back when he completes his conditions. thanks.

At best he goes from a criminal taking tax dollars for himself, to a criminal giving tax dollars to his cronies. He should be in jail for the crap he pulled at HCA- a convicted felon, not in public office.
He's been there how long and he already has ethics issues. Never mind his willful ignorance of Constitutional law and the amount of wasted taxes that is going to cost the state. He is a giant douche bag- a perfect complement to the wang state. Come to think of it wasn't he one of Bush's cronies back in the day? A real conservative kind of guy, I guess.
