Congrats on your accomplishment, Indebt!!! ![](http://us.social.s-msn.com/s/images/emoticons/beer_mug.gif)

Good point Beth!! DH & I got burned by "carryover interest" by Citi. We don't miss that card at all! They can't do two-cycle billing anymore.

OMG, I stayed up till 2am and still didn't see paycheck on my account so I gave up. The good news is, that as of today, my Amex Clear card is PAID IN FULL! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! ;D I also paid $323 on Amex Blue, which is next one in line. This one will be paid off by august 15th. $3200 balance, which will be somewhere in 2900 range after today's payment hits. HHmmm...if I could come up with extra 450 for each of next two months, I could knock it down to two months. This feels soooo good! I know I keep talking about it, but this is the forum where I can just express how happy I am ;D The best part of it all is, that all the higher APR cards are paid off! This Amex is still up there, but nowhere near the GE card I had. Oh yeah... I forgot! My envelopes are getting refilled today too!!! This calls for scheduled diet cheat day today..perhaps some pizza and adult beverages? ![](http://us.social.s-msn.com/s/images/emoticons/angel_smile.gif) Check out my sig!! BOOM!!!!

That is AWESOME! Karma to you!
Feels pretty good huh? I bet that car is driving nicer now huh? lol
Looks like we have pretty similar amounts. What's your "system"? Paying lowest balance first or highest APR first? I went highest APR first.
And that's true..you are not alone! Sadly though, most people are in deep credit card debt but they are not willing to face the mirror and realize that this is not a way to live and they just continue living the same way they been living. I am totally convinced that it's impossible to get out of this mess without first realizing that something is wrong and changing ways how to live. I am not talking just about saying "Ok, I am going to cut these cards up and stop using them". No, that alone won't help. Been there done that and ended up calling credit card companies for new cards. There is something that one day just "clicks", isn't there? One day, all of the sudden, you WANT to cut that cable TV off, you WANT to look at prices at the store, you WANT to think before every purchase, you WANT to skip going out with friends...it's so hard to explain it.

Hahaha....you think just like me. I also feel "better". I don't know why I feel like this, but I just do. I feel like a grown up. Strange isn't it?
Oh yeah.. and dorking around..lol...I am on a same boat too. I thought " Man, I am 35 and I have NOTHING to show for it". Non existing retirement, bills up the ying-yang, just blowing my money away even though, where I live in low cost area, I make pretty good money. I started to think, if I just didn't have all this debt, I would have so many possibilities. What also hit me hard was the thought of what the hell would I do if I lost my job tomorrow? I would be SCREWED. I don't even want to think about it now, until I have that 6 months saved up. But even if I didn't have 6 months saved up and I lost my current job..without credit card debt, I could go work at McDonalds, Home Depot or whatever and get by. It's a eye opening experience. Also retirement too...I don't want to be forced to work when I am 70 years old.
Nice job on consolidating all that stuff. I wish I could do it. Unfortunately, my cards were maxed and credit shot, so I just have to pay each one month by month. Maybe as time goes by, I will get approved for a nice offer and I could transfer rest of the stuff over. We'll see. I am not counting on it, but who knows. I just have this next one to pay off that is pretty big (3200 bucks at 17%) and the rest are not bad...
Keep on plugin' away!
My system is: I get paid twice a month. Every 15th and every last day of the month. My last day of the month pay is for: Mortage, HOA, cell phone bill, gas(home) groceries, car gas and little fun money.
The 15th of the month pay is: Internet, electric bill, car insurance, netflix, groceries, car gas and little fun money. What's left (1200 bucks) goes all towards credit cards.
All my cards are due on 20th of every month. I called each of them and switched the date to make it all easier. I just logon to my bank, look at my spreadsheet of what amount I have scheduled to pay on each card for that check and hit pay bills button.
I stop by the bank on each payday and take cash out for groceries, car gas and some fun money. I get home and I put it all in envelopes. It's amazing how easy this stuff is.
So every 15th, I post an update on here lol...it's my little victory thing that I do.

In debt, I love your updates - keep em coming! I'm plugging away at my student loans, trying to get my NW up to $0, so it's encouraging to read stories from you and deepindebt.
(I just logged into Mint and saw that my net worth is $-6,666 - on Friday the 13th - think I'm gonna stay inside for a while... ;D)
