1) There was a firefight. 2) There was no firefight. 3) Bin Laden was “resisting.” 4) Bin Laden wasn’t armed. (Makes the concept of “resisting” interesting.) 5) He used his wife as a shield. 6) His wife was killed too. 7) He didn’t use his wife as a shield. She ran at a SEAL who shot her in the leg, but she’s fine. 8 ) Some other woman — the maid? — was used as a shield. By somebody. Downstairs. 9) That other woman — downstairs — was killed. 10) Maybe not. She was killed unless she wasn’t — and who was she, anyway? 11) Bin Laden’s son was killed. 12) Unless it was some other guy. 13) Bin Laden’s daughter saw him get killed. She’s undoubtedly traumatized, poor dear. 14) They were going to capture Bin Laden until the problem with the helicopter, which was: A) It had mechanical trouble B) It did a hard landing C) It crashed D) It clipped a wall with a tail rotor, effectively a crash 15.) They were never going to try to capture him; it was always a kill mission. 16.) No, it wasn’t. 17) The chopper blew up. 18) The SEALs blew it up. 19.) Panetta said yesterday the world needed proof and the photo would be released. 20.) Obama said today in an interview he taped with Steve Kroft for “60 Minutes” to be broadcast Sunday that it won’t be released. It’s too gruesome, would offend Muslim sensibilities (something he worries about a lot — I personally do not give a warm fart on a wet Wednesday about Muslim sensibilities), and how would Americans feel if Muslims released pictures of dead Americans? 21.) Kroft — who’s not a total idiot — pointed out that ever since “Black Hawk Down” days, Muslims have been doing precisely that, filming American bodies being dragged through the streets, filming Daniel Pearl’s head being cut off, filming any and everything. 22) Obama gets pissed at CBS, the tape gets cleaned up, that question disappears. (Inside info.) 23.) We got a “treasure trove” of stuff from hard drives, etc. 24.) There were no phone lines, and no internet access at the “mansion,” they didn’t even have TV — what “treasure trove?” 25.) There is obviously in the pictures of the place a large satellite dish. I guess they used it for making salads. 26.) And now, just today: apparently the idea was to capture him, but only if he was naked. There was a suspicion he might be wearing a suicide bomber type explosive vest, or belt. So if he’s not naked and you can’t see if he has a vest on or not – shoot him. The idiot Carney — they actually managed to find someone who makes Gibbs look good — is currently twisting himself into knots trying to explain why the photograph that the whole world was expecting isn’t going to be released. (Obviously the thing to do is get Trump on the case, he’ll force Obama to release it.) The military did great, the administration — or whatever that bunch is, kind of like “The Little Rascals” — have managed to turn it into spaghetti. The story has changed so many times in the course of a mere three days it’s a joke — the world would be better off if Panetta had left the little shitwit on the golf course. freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2715208/posts

whats clear," one to the chest, one to the head..finis... in the sea, thats all there was to see , and that was no jest"
Methink some one with the talent could take that scenario and put together a hit tune that might stay # 1 for a long tiime.

This reminds me of Jessica Lynch, she was a hero, no she was hiding, crying and praying and never fired her weapon even once. The doctors that treated her had a good laughed about our rescue mission. Better yet Pat Tillman, it took over a year to get the true story.

If people, and politicans in particular, would tell the truth in the beginning they wouldn't have to waste time trying to remember which lie is which.
The treasure trove from the compound is probably just record keeping. You don't need the internet to use a computer for record storage and transfer to discs. From what I understand all internet communication was through the military training base less than 1/4 mile from the evil compound. With any kind of luck and information gained, the authorities will locate and shut down other cells of evil.

Donald Trump needs to get on the photo thing for ya'll. . . Man gets things done.
Hey, just heard Trump isn't going to drive the pace car at Indy because he has other races he's interested in. . .

There are as many stories as there are reporters working to get noticed.

An excellent example why the Bin Laden pictures should never see the light of day.

Good Grief… The head of the CIA admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound as further doubts emerged about the US version of events. Then what were they watching?… A blank screen? The White House released this photo of the security team watching the raid on the Osama compound in Abbottabad. Now we know the feed was not working.

Funny they had to haul Present Obama in off the golf course and sit him in a corner. Weird prop.

Funny they had to haul Present Obama in off the golf course and sit him in a corner. Weird prop. Either that or he had delegated responsibility to handle the details of the operation to those best suited to handle the details and didn't alter his normal weekend behavior so as to not tip his hand. Either he was sat in a corner or he did not pull a egotisical powerplay of having to take off a spot at the table that others had been occupying all day.

As I said in another thread, the picture tells nothing, they could be sitting around sunday night watching the NBA playoff's. the picture is worthless as proof or point of anything.

The Fog of War?
Just to defend President Obama (God I hate to defend him) here's what I bet happened. It wasn't the fog of war, it was the fog of communication & action). To start off the seals on the ground were not picked because they could communicate well (they shoot straight). They were telling someone what they saw (& don't forget, each one of them saw something different & if there were camera's going, each camera filmed something different). Then there are assumptions. One might assume that a woman with OBL who charged someone was probably his wife (but maybe she wasn't). Heck maybe she wasn't even charging someone. Maybe she saw someone in another direction & was running from that guy.
Everything at the ground level is crazy. Each of the seals was debriefed & they passed on what they saw (& what they thought was going on) to someone else (probably 1 person debriefs 1 seal) & then all of that is put together & they try to figure out what actually happened. While all of this is going on President Obama is getting drips of info a little bit at a time & he is giving it out. Oh & don't forget that there are 2 more different levels (at least) that this info has to pass through before it gets to the president. All the while stuff like "There was 11 of them" gets changed to "There were about a dozen of them".
About the only way to get more or less the exact story is to reenact the whole thing (after the fact) as to where people were & when they were at that spot. Even that will be wrong because not everyone will be able to tell their story (some are dead) & the cameras didn't catch everything. Oh & it's just possible that some of the people were more worried about being shot than they were worrying about where they were at a given time.
Stuff like this is always confusing.

The White House released the photograph of the scene in the situation room at the time operation Geronimo was being undertaken. Not me. It wasn't leaked. The White House obviously thought it was an impressive photograph to release. Not me.

Better yet Pat Tillman, it took over a year to get the true story. Actually at the time, the rescue, it wasn't a joke, I know the Pilot, a Full Col now who flew that chopper that got Jessica out of there, Special Operations Pilot {They don't just use a off the shelf Pilot for those missions, they are all part of the team} and at he time it was a serious rescue, what came out after wards takes nothing away from how and where they rescued her and as far as if she fired, did not fire , a story put out for what ever reason, I don't believe she herself put out anything like that and she was in danger of attack, being abused and even worse at the time.

Stuff like this is always confusing. sounds very reasonable & logical..... but things like this just confuse those that want to bash the President in anyway possible. No it does not sound reasonable and logical; Yes it can be very confusing and hectic, but that is no reason for the story to change; they should not release information if it is not confirmed. I would not necessarily lay this blame at the President, but at the 'administration in general' it just make it sound like they are either incompetent or covering something up.

Not Geronimo, now it's "Neptune Spear" Geronimo apparently was either the code name for OBL, or the code word he was dead.
