Weird thing is that Imam is in Israel. And we wonder why Israelis have mandatory military service?? Imagine some Imam in NYC saying that! Wonder what we would do?

Will Obama pull out of Iraq with Iran moving in?? The United States is pressing Iraq to come to a decision quickly on whether it wants U.S. troops to stay past the deadline at the end of the year, according to a report from Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin. If the troops are to remain, the decision needs to be made now for planning purposes However, the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has not yet responded, and the reason appears to have Iran's fingerprints all over it, according to analysts. Al-Maliki is a Shiite and increasingly appears to be coming under Shiite Iran's influence. For its part, the U.S. wants to remain in Iraq to be in a better position to influence unfolding events in the Middle East, such as the Iranian-supported uprising by the majority Shiite population in Bahrain, where the Sunni ruling family of King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa has major support from neighboring Saudi Arabia. Pakistan issues warning to US.. apnews.myway.com/article/20110505/D9N18J581.htmlISLAMABAD (AP) - Pakistan warned America Thursday of "disastrous consequences" if it carries out any more unauthorized raids against suspected terrorists like the one that killed Osama bin Laden. However, the government in Islamabad stopped short of labeling Monday's helicopter raid on bin Laden's compound not far from the capital Islamabad as an illegal operation and insisted relations between Washington and Islamabad remain on course. The army and the government have come under criticism domestically for allowing the country's sovereignty to be violated. Some critics have expressed doubts about government claims that it was not aware of the raid until after it was over. Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir's remarks seemed to be aimed chiefly at addressing that criticism. "The Pakistan security forces are neither incompetent nor negligent about their sacred duty to protect Pakistan," he told reporters. "There shall not be any doubt that any repetition of such an act will have disastrous consequences," he said. MORE

Um, there ought to be immediate "disasterous consequences" right NOW for Pakistan. I think that 200 cruise missiles should be en route now to that military base where bin Laden was being harbored by the Pakistanis. Let's get real. They were harboring, protecting, aiding, and abetting the world's most wanted terrorist. And they have nuclear weapons. This is simply not something we can let stand.

But we have to remember Obama is weak on this stuff. I give him Kudos for getting Bin Laden, but I have read some things that lead me to believe he had to-- NOW. I don't expect Obama to be tough with Pakistan, unless something happens that will reflect badly on his presidency.

Pakistan has nukes, Iran is getting nukes.. what about Yemen-- the real hotbed of terror, and no nukes. Not sure we should mess with people with nukes, not since they think dying is a ticket to Allah......... Of course, I don't think they will take US out-- Israel is the immediate target-- they are willing to just bide their time with us, infiltrate our gov't, monetary system, way of life.. very patient...

Iran wouldn't have nukes if I were President because I would have sent low-yield, nuclear tipped bunker buster bombs into their nuke facilities years ago. Same with NK. We need to do something to Pakistan to let them know in no uncertain terms that it's better to help us and be our friend.
We don't back down because they have nukes, but rather we hit them and hit them hard precisely because they have nukes and we need to put an end to the ambiguity about which side they're on. They need assistance coming to the correct conclusion about who they should be helping.

Me too, since firing 200 cruise missiles at one compound is a waste of several million dollars' worth of cruise missiles. Two or three missiles will suffice.

Agree on Iran, paul. Should have let Israel take down those nuke sites a few years ago when we had the chance.
DID Obama end up not releasing those pics from Gitmo? I can't remember.

Why shouldn't Iran have nukes?? The fact that they are slowly involving themselves in the conflicts going on over there and want to eliminate Israel means nothing to you? Iran doesn't even lie. They have been perfectly clear about what they want to do. Plus- it is no secret they fund terrorists, so, sure- let's let them have nukes.

Why shouldn't Iran have nukes? TROLL POST! When one does not have a viable answer to a question, attack the person asking the question (using capital letters makes it an even better "counter-argument").

Lots of insults and name calling on this board without solutions. I see that a lot. When someone calls me stupid, racist, etc, I always wish they would counter what I said, explain why they disagree or judge me, whatever. But-- so much easier to just call names and say nothing.

Why shouldn't Iran have nukes? Because they are a violent theocracy which supports exporting their form of government to the rest of the world by force.

Kind of like the DV case where the cops say "Well, we really can't get him until you actually CATCH him slashing your tires, killing your pets, breaking in your house when you are gone...." Then the next call is from the neighbors reporting gunshots next door.....................

www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/wildcard_5/bin_laden/bin-laden-shrine-fears-as-tourists-flock-to-death-compound-050511Bin Laden Shrine Fears As Tourists Flock To Death Compound Updated: Thursday, 05 May 2011, 8:27 AM EDT Published : Thursday, 05 May 2011, 7:41 AM EDT By NewsCore ABBOTTABAD, Pakistan - US efforts to prevent a shrine to Osama bin Laden were under threat Thursday as several hundred sightseers flocked to the house where the world's most notorious terrorist met his death. Pakistan officials said the compound in Abbottabad where bin Laden was shot dead Sunday already became a tourist attraction and that there were no plans to destroy the building. "I can tell you for a fact that it will become a place of tourism," said Dr. Muhammad Azfar Nisar, the deputy civil chief of the city. "People are already coming here from as far away as Lahore to see the house, so why should we destroy the building? The more revenue, the better." Nisar said the city might even expand to accommodate tourist demand. "I am sure some hotels will be constructed nearby the house if the military allow it," he added. The site, No. 254, was temporarily put off-limits early Wednesday by police who secured it for a visit by military intelligence and Pakistan's secret service, but by mid-afternoon, the scene was reopened -- and crowds of civilians gathered outside. "I've come here today to see a piece of our history," said Ahmed, 24, who brought his 11-month-old daughter with him. "Osama was a good Muslim who fought for Islam. He was a hero to us. I expect in time to see all sorts of tourists here, even Japanese and Americans." However, others were not as impressed by the relatively-Westernized lifestyle of the al Qaeda leader. "I had thought he would be living in a cave like a proper rebel outlaw," said 25-year-old Zulqurnain. "But instead they say he was hiding here, in a nice residential area. I'm a bit disappointed and can't believe it. Even so, I will come to visit again. Osama was our lion." After US special forces shot bin Laden dead, his body was buried at sea to deny his supporters a symbolic rallying point or place of pilgrimage.
