I find this topic amusing to say the least. If old Bin is dead great, if not, kill him. IMO he should have been dead years ago, instead we went after Iraq and Afganistan instead of him at a huge cost to the tax payers. Don't be fooled by the media, they are fed propoganda constantly. FOR WHAT EVER THE COST, WE KNOW IT WAS TOO MUCH. BUT WHAT I DIDN'T SEE WAS OTHER THAN THE BRITS, NOT MUCH OF THE COST WAS BORNE FROM OTHERS TO DISPOSE OF THIS EVIL ICON. WE ARE PERSISTANT. ASK THE GERMANS, JAPANESE AND ITALIANS(THEY GAVE UP EARLY). FOR THOSE OF US WHO SERVED IN VIET NAM, IT'S STILL NICE TO SEE THAT IT WAS U.S. FORCES THAT GOT THE JOB DONE. WHERE WAS THE REST OF THE WORLD? |

The world was with us in one way or another. Personally, I've served in the military and ended up in Afghanistan as a contractor, late 2002. I worked with servicemen from Australia, Germany, France, Canada and Australia. They put in alright. We finally got him, and I feel better because of it, I think most of the world does.

Thank you SIlver. That was a long time ago. I do have a special feeling for those who serve, now and in the past.
I meant the major amount of cost was borne by the U.S. I suppose it is considered our war by others,but I believe what was originally told to the American people was that our Allies would share in the cost of rooting out world terrorism.
Also besides the British I should give credit to our "close NATO Allies including Japan and Korea.
Somewhere I thought I read what the contributions from each country financial and manpower.
I will have to look that up again.
