They had a good run, but I disagree that their record should be held in comparison to UCLA's record.

They hold the record for womens and UCLA for mens.

If every record was 'cross gendered' than Kareem would be the all time leading scorer in the WNBA

Hey I am a Alumnus......the excuse is their top guard was hurt. Doty ,poor thing, bad sprained ankle...
but ok, Stamford to be commended, played great and they did a superb job on Maya..no foul shots, couldn't drive to the basket.
The streak was unbelievable and Coach does schedule the best...actually , it's a good loss..they can now work on the next time Maya is swarmed, who steps up. Their guard was fantastic, 31 points I believe.
I agree the two records are just that..actually you want a undefeated record the squash team at a Ct College, Trinity ,Weslyan a small IVY, o some where , is over 250 matches won in a row....
I am sure Auriemma is going to have em back on the right path..Go Huskys..congats Stamford.

I am so glad the streak is over and everybody can now talk about basketball and not about UConn basketball only when it comes to the women's side of the game. How many times did Tara Vanderveer have to tell the ESPN interviewer that "tonight is about Standford"?

90 in a row..30 of the wins against ranked teams..plus winning six in a row end of the year..allways good teams in their trip to the two titles..pretty impressive to say the least..As a Husky would say the same if it was Tennessee.{cough, cough}
