One more win!!!! I feel decent about 1 in 2 chances, although obviously they've blown it worse than that before..... but we aren't thinking about it! I'm thinking victory at home in game 7 ;D (although I'd take victory tonight too obviously!!)
DF is all like "we need to start planning to get tickets to every home game for the finals!!!"

haha, love it. I've already banned myself from attending any Cup games (should we be skilled enough to make it that far!). both of the games I went to were ugly.

scoring eleven seconds into overtime is some kind of wonderful, regardless which team does it (but I am happy it was mine).

I'd agree with you, but that was a ridiculously ugly goal. for all that Tim Thomas has done right this entire postseason, he f'ed that up for sure. Chara absolutely had that guy.....who, for the record, should not have been in the game in the first place. Burrows had better watch himself when he comes to Boston.

Bruins are ready to go tomorrow night but losing Horton will hurt their first line...there will probably be a lot of penalties because the refs don't want the game to get our of hand.....so if the Bruins can get their power play going and Timmy Thomas is on his game in goal again I like the chance for the Bruins.... Plus playing at home makes a big difference to a hockey team in the Stanley Cup finals because it gives the players an additional boost in their step..
Latest news on Horton is he may be out for the rest of the final playoffs and his recovery will be quite long since he suffered a severe concussion from the cheap head shot in center ice...

Good to see Bobby Orr last night at the Garden and Canadian Prime Minister and his daughter....For those too young to remember Bobby Orr he was the quickest and best hockey player that I ever saw and watched a lot of Bruins practice skates at BC and Orr could skate backwards faster than Esposito, Hodge, and Cashman would skate forwards....he was by far the fastest skater in the NHL in his time and highest scoring defenseman which made him such an awesome player at age 19 -28 and then his knees gave out on him and he retired with a severe limb and gangling knees..

Chive - I tried checking at the box office when I was at the garden last weekend. They had a sticky note on the window that said "bruins finals sold out", so I didn't even ask we can check though! I'll probably be depressed because the tix will be $500 each A friend of mine's dad knew Bobby Orr growing up I believe. My mom was telling me about the last time the B's won (1972, she was in high school), the only time she cared a little about hockey lol! So excited for tonight!!

I'm too exhausted to be very excited right now.....I'm sure that will change once I can sleep and refresh. I'm actually still at the airport in DC. PSA of the day - wait in line for the hotel vouchers, at least you'll get a bed for a little while. those seats at the gates are not at all conducive to restful sleep.

finally home! I'm enjoying a quick bite to eat before taking a power nap. I'm not sure where I'm watching the game just yet. I'd like to meet up with my hockey team up at Chunky's - watching hockey on a movie screen? ;D ordinarily, I'd be all over that. tonight though, it's not really going to break my heart to stay home. haha....

caught this quote on a TV news station FB post, it's gotta be the QOTD! ;D
There once was a team of Canucks. A gang of cheap hitting f*cks. For that shot on Horton, they'll answer to Thornton, and like the Yankees, Vancouver just SUCKS!

seriously....wtf. apparently, in Vancouver it's OK for non-goalies to cover the puck. you caught that, right? happened right around the time of the only goal.
