I have a few suggestions:
1. Marshmallows and unicorns 2. Change I still believe in! 3. I'll let Jon Stewart make the decisions 4. Welfare for everyone! 5. Vote for me and you get a puppy 6. Give me all your money and shut up!
Open to other ideas...

My center left right tea party friends have shown me the error of my ways and I will, in my next term in office, do justice by my people-- the women, gays, poor, rich, white and not white, religious and non-religious, military, war protesters, conservative and liberal and center people all over the entire planet. Believe in me.

He can just continue with his classic slogan from the last election: Obama/Biden - because everyone else deserves what you've worked hard for. I will need to get some of those bumper stickers with Obama's "O" in them: **bend O-ver** **bend O-ver, here comes the change** **O-mg wtf** All good stuff

Heres a try for a seriouse discussion on the title of the thread..[finges crossed }.. Heard today on NPR the retiring Republican Senator from Ohio George Voinovich speaking on a few things.
Regarding the partisonship in Congress today, especially in the Senate, it's expected in the House, those people are re running for office as they are sworn in to a new term, but the Senate it is different, and he agrees , on the big issues it is very partison, worst he has ever seen it and he is just finishing his 12th year.
However. he said , what the general public does not see is the cooperation in the committees and in private between the members and he said he had just gone through legislation that he had put forth and had passed , good legislation, that there was no acromony on. They, Senators ask if any objection, if minor they solve it and it goes through and there is a lot of that going on..but admits on the big ones , it's not good.
He feels the American public is finally getting to understand the problems we faced. Mentioned that a few years back he was in a conference in Germany regarding NATO and the delegates from Europe were asking for America to do more with NATO, financially. He said he got up, told them for 60 years the US have been their finger bowl and today 42 cents of every doller spent by the US is borrowed. After that, you could hear a pin drop..as he said he had been saying the same thing to his costituents , finally they too and Congress is listening.
Regarding the next election, it's either going to be Obama or some unknown at this time Republican.
He said if Obama wants to win that election he has to level with the American public, tell them were we are and tell them the spending has to stop, cut backs in all departments are going to have to be done and then propose which ones and how much.
This is from a moderate Republican, who at times would break from his party and cross over..advice to his opposition leader of..so going back to the title of the thread , that might be one of the planks the president might consider when he makes his run for reelection in 2012.

Does it REALLY matter what he tells anyone?? Shouldn't his actions by then speak much louder?
One of the problems, I think, it's that when it really comes down to it, most people like free stuff. They liked $8K mortgage credit, they will like tax holiday, they like additional UE benefits. Most people can't grasp the concept of how deeply in debt we are and how we can't pay for it. So, whatever slogan he will choose, I wouldn't be surprised if people voted for him again.

Well if your not hung up on the rhetoric, if in two years we see a turn around, not expecting back to normal times yet, somthing being done with the debt, and other suggestions put up by the bi partison committee, discussion and some real legislative actions on the tax codes., cut back on the military spending, entitlements, jobs coming back....we are out of iran..something semi positive in Afganistan..why not.

I agree I don't think Obama is doomed for 2012, if the economy rebounds in 2011 and seems to be doing ok in 2012, I think he still has a shot. There is no Republican candidate that leaps off the page to anyone, or gets tons of people excited.

"Stay home and let the smart people vote" Perfect, Archie, that's exactly the attitude of the left. Exactly. Ironic considering it is clearly the liberals who lack a grasp of reality. Bad news for the liberal dumb down conspiracy, it turns out Ritalin suppresses the creative brain which liberals claim ownership of, so drugged up school children are transforming into conservatives. www.theblaze.com/stories/new-lefty-theory-ritalin-may-turn-children-into-conservatives/

The slogan should be "We kept you out of war". Trust me, there's an audience that will buy it.

What should be Obama's 2012 campaign slogan?
How about: I promise to give you what you think you deserve & get someone else to pay for it.
I think that pretty much covers it & might get him elected again.

I've changed. You can believe it.
On a side note, I am hoping to see more bi-partisanship now. I'm not sure the previously controlled Dem congress would have really allowed any bi-partisanship, but we'll see if things change or not.
