Dang, you've been through some stuff. Southeast FL here. We are ready, as we will get some effects from Milton. Outside of the house is cleaned up and ready to go. Got plenty of food, water, pet stuff and the generator has propane. I am doing bulk laundry now (towels and sheets) and finished cleaning the house. Dishwasher and final clothes wash will be tomorrow a.m. We have had almost three days of rain already. so the ground is pretty saturated. There is already flooding.
That’s what happened to Asheville, they had a couple days of heavy rain before the hurricane even showed up. I’m sure Florida has a lot of special engineering devices for the amounts of rain you get from hurricanes- poor Asheville does not. Hopefully this will not be awful. Take care!! Thanks! We do have a new drainage field but it is overwhelmed at this point. But at least we have it.
We've had about 12 dry hours so far, so the standing water is starting to recede. We know more rain is coming, but at least there should be space for it now.

I saw some thing installed in front of the Tampa hospital called an aqua wall. Looked pretty cool.

MAJOR tornado outbreak today in Florida. 51 so far today As someone who had parts of my house carried off (and spread over the landscape) I can’t imagine the double crisis of having your house ripped open being followed by 13 inches of rain falling on the debris. And the winds rocketing everything around. Poor people. 🙁

Saw a video taken at key West as the storm passed by over the ocean, and the lighting strikes occurring were nearly continuous. Terrifying.

Easy for me..... They call them Cyclones to the East (Indian Ocean)..... and Hurricanes to the West (Gulf and Caribbean)
They are the same thing.
Hope your are recovering.
