Received this email this morning. A scam email for sure as I didn't order anything and it is full of mistakes. The email reads:
The email states it is from: Tennesseer <mirandamerrill034@gmail.com>. I have no idea who mirandamerrill034 is. Why would an opening email say Bonjour? The sender doesn't know that "Spring Field Armory" should read Springfield Armory. I grew up in Springfield (MA) and there is an armory there. Firearms are or used to be made in Springfield at Smith and Wesson and a few other firearm manufactures. A loaded handgun? Really? That's legal? I have no PayPal account. The phone number given is supposedly for the email sender in New Jersey. But I traced the phone number and it is a payphone in Oregon. Finally, there is no "La Totowa New Jersey". There is a Totowa, New Jersey. The zip code listed for "La Totowa New Jersey" in the email is 95223. 95223 is the zip code for Arnold, CA, Camp Connell, CA, Dorrington, CA.
Needless to say I reported the email to PayPal and they will look into it.
But shipping loaded handguns?

Tenn, they are not selling anything except fear to scam you with. There are no loaded guns they are going to ship to anyone for free. They just want to scare people into reaching out to them so they can lift some money from their victims' accounts. I noticed the zip code thing pretty quickly too.

Not my first PayPal scam email. What they want is for me to call them and get my private information. Stupid people give their information. Scams usually have typing errors and other not making any sense wording in them. Easy to spot. As I said, I reported it to PayPal.

I noticed LOADED HANDGUN is intentionally capitalized so it isn't missed. In one recent article I read, scammers are now hacking legit email addresses of large companies to make it easier to fleece others. Good that you reported it. I delete almost all scam looking emails without reading more than the subject line in my inbox.

shipping loaded firearms sounds quite dangerous for the postal service.
