Their love for each other is heartwarming, Ultimately, the elephant will outlive the dog.
ETA: I'm reading a book titled The Elephant Keeper by Christopher Nicholson. A young man in England becomes a Mahoot to two elephants his boss bought.

ETA: I'm reading a book titled The Elephant Keeper by Christopher Nicholson. A young man in England becomes a Mahoot to two elephants his boss bought.
I ordered that book the other day. I don't know if you also read the linked article below the video. The dog was probably killed by coyotes and the keeps believe the elephant carried the dead dog in her trunk some distance after she found the dog. Blood was found on the underside of the elephants trunk which the keepers believe was the dog's blood. |
