[Pink Cashmere]

This is one of my want to run away songs.
 

Music has been such a big part of my entire  life, that I pretty much have a song or some songs to describe my feelings and thoughts, or just the sound fits my mood. That is why I have created so many playlists, and my playlists have themes.  For me, the right kind of music can most definitely influence my mood and mental state.

And sometimes a song’s lyrics can express thoughts or feelings I have, in a much clearer way that I can, and sound really good while doing it.

For me, it is any music. I loved blues but stopped listening to it because it had a negative impact.

You may remember this song by Harry Nilsson. It is from the 1969 movie, Midnight Cowboy. Midnight Cowboy was rated X but won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Only X rated movie to win Best Picture. The movie is about friendship.

I have never been a fan of gratuitous profanity. In high school, I was invited over to a guy's car to listen to Nilsson's song "You're Breaking My Heart" . I was unimpressed until I heard where he took it and was blown away.

I actually did that before. I should probably do it again lol.

The video you posted keeps buffering, so I’ll have to listen to it later. My IPad is wonky sometimes with videos.

It's not your IPad (at least for this music video) acting wonky. I posted the video on my desk top PC and it was slow to open for me too. Give your IPad time. A very good song with scenes from the movie.

I am going to admit in a public forum that I still have my Nilsson Schmilsson album! Have never been able to let it go. I love the cover. I bought Nilsson Schmilsson the day it was released. I also have other albums I can’t seem to part with. Gonna be up to son when I croak

back in the days when I would drive wherever for Factory Acceptance Testing of manufacturing equipment skids, one of my regular vendors was a place in Tonawanda, NY - a solid 8h drive straight out on I-90 from my home in MA. I'd pop in the same CD when leaving the hotel to start on my long and boring drive home. here's the first song off that fantastic album. I've been burning a hole in the vinyl I just bought to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release. 

oh, and thank you to all that are chiming in on this thread. music is in my blood, and I appreciate all of you and your contributions. I will be checking out all of them that I am not already familiar with.

Was completing a crossword puzzle earlier today. The clue was who sang cow-cow boogie? I had no idea who sang it. So I looked it up. This is who sang it: Ella Mae Morse.
