Nice ABC Evening News story from yesterday. There is no video just of the Mickey Mantle segment so move the video cursor to the 17 minute mark where it begins. Not a long video to watch.

Love this story! I was very much into baseball when I was in elementary school too. My "home" team wasn't doing great during those years, so I also became a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. I could even name every player on their batting roster at the time. (Not to mention, their coach was Sparky Anderson.) Great memories!  |

We had a farm team or minor league team (not sure what the correct term was back in the 50’s). I can’t remember which team it was but went to a lot of games as a kid. Instilled a love of baseball at young age.

I did not see the clip, but I assume it was the same lady who was on antiques roadshow. Great story.
