Republicans have clearly lost their minds. House Republican introduces resolution to award Trump Congressional Gold MedalRep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), backed by a group of House Republicans, has introduced a bill calling for Congress to award former President Donald Trump the Congressional Gold Medal. The bill text says the medal would be “in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication to strengthening America’s diplomatic relations during his presidency.” "President Trump’s fearless leadership reestablished America as a respected and admired global power," Luna told Fox News Digital. "It is time we recognize a president who put our country first and secured global peace through bold diplomacy. Despite the liberal media's attempts to spread fear, America and the world were undoubtedly safer under President Donald Trump. One of our duties in Congress is to honor those who have contributed significantly to our nation, and that’s why I’m introducing this legislation." The bill also justifies why Trump should receive the gold medal by citing his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, helping to establish the Abraham Accords, and other foreign policy achievements. Well Kristi Noem won’t be getting that medal. She had to admit her story in her book about meeting Kim and staring him down was a lie.
She wrote her own book and recorded the audio book yet claimed it ‘accidentally’ got in there.
Someday there will be a college course on how to derail your career and her book will be mandatory reading.
Lesson one - if you shoot animals don’t brag about it in public.

In the fake news echo chamber, they don't reveal how most of the world powers went around the US. Germany, France, Japan, etc. They don't realize that cozying up to dictators in various countries is not a show of strength. Trump met with Kim Jong Un but it did not seem to have a practical advantage to the US. I don't recall more US prisoners being released or relations in general improving. It was an interesting PR stunt that luckily did not result in blood being spilled (that I know of). I think Trump made the world more unstable. I think having Israel basically takeover Jerusalem helped foment anger towards the US and Israel that seemed to come to a head with the Hamas attack. Things are more unstable around Ukraine and prices for wheat, potatoes etc. remain crazy in large part because Trump was all for Putin making war over in Ukraine, Crimea, etc. |

He's months away from possibly being back in office, and the GOP is already lining up to kiss b*tt. I was stunned when the Speaker of the House showed up at Trump's trial this week, declaring how "corrupt" the courts are. I wonder how much money Speaker Johnson got "donated" to his future campaign for that appearance?

Nope, being a patsy is not the same as being admired. We used to talk about sending the orange paint addict big word books because his actual understanding of words was very limited. Now I do believe that a salary of ~$180k is sufficient for these nitwits to buy their own big word books. We should make that mandatory |
