The affirmation was jokey, but serious — fitting for Adams, a happy culture warrior whose weapon of choice is not a video game controller but an X account, “Nick Adams (Alpha Male),” where he professes his love for Hooters, makes goofy claims like how billionaire pop superstar Taylor Swift is only dating NFL tight end Travis Kelce because she wants a piece of his $70,000 Super Bowl bonus check, and posts videos about boycotting Mars candy because M&M’s had committed “egregious sexism” for having all-female packaging. He calls his fans Nick Adams Disciples, or “Nads.”

On this occasion, the burgeoning Nads were young Republicans. They had gathered at the Capitol Hill Club to drink cheap beer, in a room decorated with porcelain elephant statues and photographs of President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Sen. John McCain, and listen to a well-built man with a five o’clock shadow and an Australian accent tell them that “‘nasty women’ are coming for two things: your mind and your testicles!”

In a Trumpified GOP, and a Trumpified Washington, the answer is yes. He is a presidential appointee to the board of Washington’s Woodrow Wilson Center, which, according to its website, “provides nonpartisan counsel and insights on global affairs to policymakers.” Donald Trump, who bestowed him with that honor during his last term, has recently made Adams an official campaign surrogate as the former president attempts to regain control of the White House.

oh man, this brings back some memories. my dad is a construction foreman. when I was a kid, he was a piecework sheetrocker b/c that's where someone with his work ethic would just make bank. he had this t-shirt that I never saw after I asked about it when I was 5 or 6, but it had NADS across the top in an arc, with the acronym explained underneath. I actually just called him to ask about this one, and he couldn't remember it to tell me what it said. whatever it actually was, it was questionable enough to remove it from the rotation where a very impressionable parroting child like me would see it again. 

I kind of want to know what it said now. lol...

Well, she is a female. There is no way she is worth hundreds of millions. Certainly not on her own. A man must have been behind her net worth. 

Yes, usually the explanation is it was her wealthy father that enabled her to be successful.  She NEVER could have done it without him.  In fact people even say he financed her Eras tour movie. What? Wasn't that like in the past few months?  I'm pretty sure she could have paid for that herself as she was already a billionaire, if not close to it.

Its scary how many of these manchildren are all over social media, hiding behind their keyboards.  I had a man tell me to "get back in the kitchen" today on FB.  The conversation was about etiquette of switching seats on airplanes.  Literally nothing at all about men vs women in any of the posts that would invite that kind of comment from him.  

Also, I always thought Nick Adams' account was a parody making fun of alpha males, the fact that he is serious is hilarous and horrifying at the same time! Some of the stuff he posts is so outrageous.
