Long SLV (Silver etf - Silver)
It's been my experience that silver often follows a good movement in gold. The weekly chart looks good and I bought some last week. weekly bars

clark and i are taking horses from the same breeder. hopefully this one won't fall into a coma.  gold is breaking into record territory, and has wind at it's back, given the economics of the USD right now (which almost certainly will fall this year).

clark- i don't know what you saw in silver that i didn't see. well done!

hey, the base metals are performing very well this week, as is oil. gold and uranium are lagging the sector(s).

Thank you djAdvocate. I got a little bit lucky but when I bought the 5-day sma had just crossed above the 200-day sma. I run that screen almost every night. Also, the price of gold to price of silver ration was about 90 at the time. I still like gold, silver, platinum, and copper. Steel also usually follows a big move in precious metals.

yeah. this looks very bullish on the commodities right now. i think what has happened is that the supply chain problems got fixed to an oversupply, and yet the economy is not cooling off as expected. what is left is excess demand (again), particularly on commodities that are associated with growth: base metals, energy, and some of the high end food staples like orange juice and coacoa. it looks like some of the bulkier commodities like wheat and corn are turning around now.

not sure how this will pan out. the economy definitely looks cooler than a year ago. if interest rates come down, that will be good for export trade and precious metals.

no matter what way you cut it, i think we are looking at higher energy and precious metals prices as the year continues. after that? who knows. this has been a really long cycle for orange juice and coacoa. uranium is heading for multi-year shortages. it is hard to imagine equities not moving up, as well.

good year for investment, imo.

Congrats Cleark!  Mine was a BIG surprise!  Guess I'm stuck with these stocks til some time WAY in the future cause I'm a die-hard & won't sell when I lose too much.
