LONG past time for this fraudster con-man to get what he deserved. Bankrupt and imprisoned will be a good start.

Who bought them? In November 2019, Donald Trump Jr.’s book Triggered debuted at the top of the New York Times hardcover nonfiction best-seller list. A week later, the paper’s books desk released a report that a nearly $100,000 bulk purchase of the book by the RNC had contributed to the ranking. link

I wonder if the shoe maker made him pay up front for product or if he stiffs them too.

On their individual units, sure. If he still owns the building, it is worth a lot less than it would be if he had never been president. The larger point being made, though, was about the value of his brand, which he has claimed was worth billions. Which he also claimed during his fraud trial, among other places.

I doubt he assumed the risk of buying product inventory that might not sell. Licensing has been his preference for many things for at least a couple decades.

sneaker collectors are a weird bunch. I don't think it was collectors that bought these.

sneaker collectors are a weird bunch. We have friends whose eldest son has been stashing sneakers in their wine cellar for years. Quite an array of boxes now that he says will make him beaucoup years from now.

Five or six months for delivery. Absolutely no refunds. Yeah, time to jump all over this one.

Doesn't that mean that the individual condo owners took the hit, not Trump? yes. which means that people are paying a premium for a worthless brand, and Trump is pocketing the difference. hopefully word will get out and people will simply stop buying his product(s).

From Opinion piece by Dean ObeidallahMy question is what happens if Trump ends being convicted of any of the 91 felonies he’s charged with? Will the company release a “POTUS in Leavenworth” athletic shoe with the “45” replaced by Trump’s inmate number?
Now, that’s a sneaker I’d love to buy. Ouch.

Five or six months for delivery. Absolutely no refunds. Yeah, time to jump all over this one. So there may be lawsuits coming over that. Some people bought these and are selling the on line for thousands, going to be a lot of grifters somewhere mad at missing the chance to gouge some MAGA faithful. Also saw a post on Reddit where someone traced these horrible shoes to a Trump owned company, who is buying them from a company with an office at a nearly empty strip mall out west somewhere- don’t know if that is true (it’s Reddit after all) but if it is, I’m still betting small Asian kids are spray painting cheap Walmart shoes gold for ten bucks a month to make these.

I heard on a news show this morning that the red soles of these sneakers may be a violation of a high end dress shoe maker's red sole trademark.

Will Trump’s new red-soled sneakers earn him a lawsuit from Christian Louboutin?'How ironic that it could trigger another lawsuit he can’t afford!' Former President Donald Trump unveiled a signature sneaker over the weekend that some believe could get him sued. Announced at a sneaker conference in Philadelphia, the “limited edition” shoes, known as the “Never Surrender High-Tops,” feature an all-red sole that some say has long been trademarked. Released with a price tag of $399, a run of 1,000 pairs was made available online but quickly sold out, according to gettrumpsneakers.com. The shoes are primarily gold, include stars and stripes, and boldly showcase the letter “T.” The sneakers’ all-red soles, however, are what has garnered attention among fashion aficionados. A viral TikTok video making the rounds across social media suggests that Trump’s shoes violate a trademark on red-soled shoes from French fashion designer Christian Louboutin. Rest of article here: Will Trump’s new red-soled sneakers earn him a lawsuit from Christian Louboutin?
