because of prices. Its not an American grocer, but it still can impact possibly 14% or influence that piece of Pepsi and Lay's European market. I wonder if its grocery stores that will reign in some of the grocery price gouging that has gone on longer than it should have. What do you think? Pepsi, Lay’s dropped by one of the world’s biggest grocers over price hikes
France-based Carrefour, one of the world’s largest grocery chains, told customers Thursday it is pulling Lay’s, Doritos, Lipton teas and other PepsiCo products in protest of increased prices.
Stores in France, Italy, Belgium and Spain will be affected, multiple news outlets reported. Carrefour, which has more than 12,000 stores globally, did not immediately respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment. In a sign taped to certain aisles in stores, the company announced the decision and said it is “committed to lowering prices.”
The move from Carrefour comes as Europeans continue to battle with high food prices. In France, food prices rose more than 7 percent year-over-year in December. Price increases peaked in March 2023, surging almost 16 percent, according to one estimate.

There is the impression out there that major food companies have been taking advantage of the consumer. If that is the case, I don't feel a lot of sympathy for PepsiCo, even though we do buy their products at our house. It would annoy me some, but if I had to switch to generic, I would.
