Didn't Learn From His First Time In Prison

I saw that. Ironically he was in for a battery charge. He was telling the judge that he's a changed man and knows how to keep his hands to himself now. The judge said I don't believe you and he ends up proving her right.

The only "change" in his life is going to be a longer prison sentence.  How stupid can you get?

I'm sure it could be worse for this guy but hopefully take 3 (when he gets out the next time) goes better.
I'm sure the judge and others in the courtroom were traumatized. I hope they recover quickly mentally and physically.

Defendant who attacked judge in wild courtroom video will face her again in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A defendant who was captured in courtroom video leaping over a judge's bench and attacking her, touching off a bloody brawl, is scheduled to appear before her again Monday morning.

In his Jan. 3 appearance before Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus, Deobra Redden, who was facing prison time for a felony battery charge stemming from a baseball bat attack last year, tried to convince the judge that he was turning around his violent past.

Redden asked for leniency while describing himself as “a person who never stops trying to do the right thing no matter how hard it is.”

But when it became clear Holthus was going to sentence him to prison time, and as the court marshal moved to handcuff and take him into custody, Redden yelled expletives and charged forward. People in the courtroom audience, including his foster mother, began to scream.

The title of the thread says it all. If he had learned he would not have been in court again. And he further proved it by attacking the judge.

The guy was back in this judge's court yesterday to complete his sentencing hearing she began the other day when he then attacked her.

To her credit, she did not tack on additional time for his attack on her.  He was escorted into to court room looking like a  similar constrained version of Hannibal Lecter.  Only thing missing was being wheeled in on a handcart.

He did face a different judge regarding the attack on the first judge and was charged with multiple felonies. He should have just taken the original sentence and moved on.
