So I guess Hannity is now an official part of Trump's re-election effort. I wonder if FOX keeps him or not. In the article it notes that it is not legal to broadcast from his townhome, but I also noticed him thanking FL politicians, so maybe he got DeSantis and others to give him an exception. Late Rush Limbaugh had to rent studio space per the article. And it notes that he is not changing his permanent address to Florida. “I’ve been threatening now to do this for quite a while, but we are now beginning our first broadcast from my new home and that is in the free state of Florida,” he said on his iHeartRadio show on Tuesday. “I am out. I am done. I’m finished.”
He claimed that he is one of many who have moved from Democratic-led states to Republican-led states like Florida. DeSantis has touted Florida as one of the fastest-growing states while on the campaign trail for the White House, often suggesting that people are moving from blue states like New York and California to Florida.

Hannity has frequently broadcast his radio show from a studio at his estate on North Shore of Long Island in New York, according to published reports.
Hannity has owned a Palm Beach townhouse since April 2021, when he paid a recorded $5.3 million for it.
But Palm Beach law would prevent him from broadcasting from that residence, an official confirmed late Tuesday afternoon.
The town does not allow businesses to operate out of private homes, Palm Beach Town Council President Margaret Zeidman told the Palm Beach Daily News.

Hannity's oceanfront townhouse is in the Residences at Sloan’s Curve on the South End of Palm Beach. In November, he won the town’s permission to expand one of its three bedrooms. He's owned this property for 2 years. Is this rich guy retirement and tax planning or something else?

PS- $5.3M for a condo is insane.
"freedom" costs way too much.

Hurricanes are nothing. Wait until the rising ocean levels cause salt water to infiltrate the freshwater aquifers and all those rich people have to start trucking in potable water to wash their high end knickers and boil their lobsters. Plus their crappers will back up into their oriental rugs when the sewer plants get overwhelmed in the storm surges. Property values on the ocean front will tank.

Given how storms have been going up and down the East Coast, that piece of Florida would not be my choice if I was thinking Florida. I expect Florida real estate to crash as interest rates come down.
i do think he's playing talking points for Trump's campaign, but I mean if you are thinking I really want to trash my net worth, there are easier ways to do it. MO.

MO. But Hannity's net worth probably wouldn't take much of dent - I would imagine he's insured the property. I wouldn't be surprised if the subdivision get wiped off the beach - that the 'home owners' opt to sell for a hefty price to some new development company (that one or more of them run/own). I'm guessing Hannity's purchase is tax or estate planning. If the property isn't damaged/destroyed by a hurricane - isn't it a potentially tax efficient way to the property passed down to his heirs who can then sell the property (and retain more of the value)??
