DH went through more papers tonight. He did it unasked!
When we went through his closet last weekend he said, I know you really want me to do this. You haven't said a word about it recently, but I know I won't have any peace until I do it.
Looks like I'm finally rubbing off on him, after 30 years. I can live with that LOL.
I am working a grand total of 4 hours this week. Obviously not enough!!! It'll go back up to 8h next week, and hopefully to 10-12 by mid February, and for the rest of the semester.

I am rushing to finish the doors on my lower cabinets and hope to get the 2 that cover under the sink done by morning. Lots happening this week and I need to get the bulk of this project done!
Dropping off donation stuff on Wednesday so I’m currently adding to the boxes and will load the car tomorrow.

I ordered the automatic brush last night. It's being delivered today. Maybe with better weather and the Christmas rush being over, Prime is actually acting like Prime again.

I played hooky yesterday. Granted, I'm still coughing up gunk from being ill..... And I am happy to report, from the long-standing to-do list, we had a burn party Saturday night. DH burned the flag which had torn in half horizontally a few windstorms ago. My contribution was 2 years of old tax documents, and a few other file folders full of items I was delighted to remove from my life. I told DH I'd like to schedule another burn party which will (finally) include my old journals, etc. He was surprised. I told him I don't want them laying around when I kick the bucket, LOL. I'm slowly moving items to and from the Cardio Cave. After a post on social media, beach themed items will go to a friend who recently moved and has a spare bathroom to decorate. That made me so happy! So far to the Cave, which will have a music theme, I've contributed a framed signed poster from when I met the Reverend Horton Heat and his bassist Jimbo, two other band posters, and a small figurine of a third band. DH moved the hand weights downstairs for me, and they are now in the closet on shelves along with the jump ropes, towels, etc. Also, over the weekend: -An easy 3 loads of laundry -Handwashed a few clothing items -Emptied and refilled the dishwasher twice -Refilled the ice trays, Keurig, and napkin dispenser -Made this week's meal plan -The baking session with the neighbor kids didn't happen, but the themed date night with DH was fun. He seemed to enjoy it, so I'm planning another next month. -Made pozole for the first time ever, an oatmeal bake for DH, boiled and peeled eggs for the week, and processed produce for lunches -Discussed details of my upcoming co-birthday party with a neighbor -Read a bit, watched two NFL games, and played too much of my computer game -There are ribs in the slow cooker for tonight L comes tomorrow.

I put 2 boxes into the car to donate tomorrow and now I’m looking at kitchen cabinets again. I put 2 sets of dishes in a box to donate (one set too large, one set incomplete and too small) and will do another sweep through to find anything else that can go.
I can’t say much but tomorrow could be a big day, I would love some extra juju if you think of me 😊

Craft/Beading Room deep cleaning is done. Lots of things were eliminated, reorganized, and/or repurposed. Several bags of trash, a few of shredding and one of donations were the result of that project. I usually tackle it at the beginning of the year as during the rush of holiday craft shows it tends to fall apart.
I had to pick up several RXs today otherwise I would not have left the house. I also restocked few vitamins I was almost out of as well as my allegy OTC meds. This is the season I usually suffer with all the blooming items.
Taking a few days before I venture into another area to dig through all the cubbyholes. I am taking my time as I frequently do a few areas.

startsmart ditto to what TheOtherMe and debthaven said! I forgot to post yesterday I picked up my side of the walk-in closet, and then assembled 5 or so work outfits. Doing the latter makes for one less decision to make work mornings.

Good luck today startsmart! Hoping to make more progress myself this weekend. I also am hopefully finishing the estate up by the end of February. That will free up more of my time.

What a cutie startsmart I got the x-mas decorations down and they are going in the garage in a few. I kept thinking about the recliners and found one last friday. Thought about it over the last few days and decided to go ahead and order them. About 10-12 weeks out but they are full leather and a lovely "lace, cream, beige color" that is hard to define but will look really well in the living room. They were not cheap but they are not as expensive as some that I had looked at where the price was over 3K for one chair and ottoman. Managed to hit up Target and I found a rain coat that was under $33 on clearance and picked that puppy up. It reminds me of pistachio icecream colorwise. Went ahead and picked up some cards at the Dollar Tree so I have something to mail out to friends on Valentines Day. Tomorrow is garbage and my Dentist visit with me having lunch with a close friend beforehand. I will also be able to print off photos for my taxes so that is a great thing.

I made a big goodwill donation today which is good because I have this 5 lb dog wrapped around my neck sleeping so productivity is going to take a big hit while I train him.
I’m so happy to have a dog in the house again, he is the sweetest.

My new glasses work great, so much so I can see now the dirt I've been missing on the counters and floors. These are computer-user glasses so have a wider band to read with and a good field of vision for middle distance. They are no good at all for distance, but that's not an issue for me.
My automatic brush is getting a good workout. I'm glad; arthritis in my hands is not aggravated but I get things really clean. There's even a special brush for corners.

Here we pay by per hour. The minimum is 3h/week, which is what we have. Now that the kids are gone I asked about every other week, but no such animal here. I suppose you could set it up yourself with family or friends, but frankly I'm happy with weekly cleaning. nikiz628 I remember your old posts about redoing/fixing up your house, and I remember what a fabulous organizer you are! Could offer that service as well?! Do you have a website? If not, you should start one! finnime I am both fascinated and repelled by that LOL. Thank you! I've actually considered offering organizing. Every time I am at house 3 (the small one that doesn't clean anything themselves) I have to resist the eye twitching urge to want to organize the clutter lol. No website..yet, nothing more than just posting availability on FB at this time.

I was checking my 2nd bank and noticed that I had fraud on my travel card. So, the card has been cancelled and a new card is coming. I was glad that I finally caught it. only for a few months.
Be on the lookout for Reactcrm East Broadway and Wpplug Adairsville Hwy St - The amounts were for 15 and 9 dollars so I believe it was the 15 dollar transactions that caught my eye first.
With the crazyness of the end of the year I am giving myself grace. It started in August but my card # could have been earlier because of my travels to HI, OR and the back and forth to and from the old place and new place.

nikiz628 you could offer at House 3! Worst-case scenario, they say no. I'd add it to your FB posts too. Maybe some before and after (or even just after) photos of your house? The kids' space? I'm glad you caught it snapdragon . DH and I just bought two pieces of plywood for under the couch cushions. The difference is amazing! I was going to spend 2K to rebuild the bases and replace the foam in the cushions. DH suggested trying this instead. It's "cheating", but the wood is hidden, and it's much firmer (a bit too firm lol). We spent 42E on the plywood! We have two identical leather couches. They're old, but the leather is in great shape. I'm going to look into having them professionally cleaned. I feel like I just saved 2K LOL. I also reached the gardener. He'll try to schedule me by the end of Feb, which is fine.

I can't believe how much my organizer can do in 3 hours. Ask them and see what they say.

Finally got rid of old 50” tv last Friday. Dropped it off at the sanitation special waste site. It was an eye sore sitting to one side of the living room. My next small project is the back door entrance that we use. It is where everything gets dumped. Mail, shoes, recycling, tool boxes, gardening tools and outdoor gear all live in this spot. There is a 6 ft wooden bench but everything piles on top of it so can’t sit there. We tend to sit on the bottom of the stairs to put on shoes.

I just booked a couch cleaning service. They're coming in two weeks (after the grandkids' next visit). I hope it's not a waste of money.

Hmm. Plywood. Hadn't thought seriously of that. My old sofa that is curved and seats 5 comfortably desperately needs some firmness instilled. The cushions are nothing but give at this point. I'd planned on having the cushions restuffed. Maybe I'll give a trial using a piece of wood and see if that works.

finnime we had it cut to measure, in 5mm. (DH preferred 3mm but they didn't have it.) I may get a layer of high-density foam to put between the wood and the cushions. That would cost about 50. It's a bit too firm now, but it's much better than before! ETA: I ordered the high-density foam. Total cost (including the plywood) is 96E.

This weekend I'm starting my file cabinet purge. I have a couple of empty storage bins I can fill for the upcoming shred day in May. The closet purge will also begin next week if nothing unexpected comes up.
