I've been looking at the news stories about this development. Wondering if the World Bank/IMF/Federal Reserve is behind this attack on Gaddafi's state owned central bank.
Anyone been looking at this?
There's a thread on the topic at politics board.
You guys read more financial stuff than I do. Anything?

Geez, I sure hope the Fed is out of that picture. I don't even like their dual mandate with employment.
I know they don't have the authority to go screwing around with new foreign currencies. That would take congressional action and a presidential signature.
I wonder what Bernanke would do if he got a call from Geithner telling him that Obama wants the Fed to help them out clandestinely. I suspect the reply would include "GFY".

You really think so? What if the international banking cartel has decided to pull the west out of recession on middle east oil? Maybe they are fed up with effing around with the area.

marshabar1, I left it in one of my entries today as to GS,CITI,JPM and others that have already submitted their paperwork for opening up some new hotdog stands in the Middle East. Never say 'Never'.  |

I'm reading THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND, verrip. Changes ones perspective entirely. I believe that money is the root of all evil, but this book really spells out the evil. Worth a read.
