I have been wearing compression socks since I had blood clots in my legs a couple of years ago. I bought some basic ones off Amazon but they are a bit difficult to put on. I made the mistake of looking at a Facebook ad for some brand recently and now every other ad is for a different seller of these socks.
Can anyone recommend a preferred brand? TIA

I don't have a preferred brand but I was looking for them for my Mom. The Shopping Channel had some that looked good

I just pick some that look cute from Amazon. So far, they are doing the job. It sounds like I will be wearing them for the rest of my life.
I understand you can be fitted for them at some drug stores.

When ordering compression socks from Amazon, I have determined that the measurements provided for many of the products on offer cannot be trusted to provide a good fit. If I order one size larger than the measurements indicate I should order, they fit better and are easier to put on. YMMV.

Going to preface this with the fact I used them to avoid shin splints when running, not edema/clots so please take my advice with a grain of salt.
I have tried medical/drugstore brands, expensive athletic and cheapo bulk packs on Amazon. All of them worked more or less the same. If getting them on is a challenge, start with a lower mmHg, a larger size, and shorter height, some even have zippers now. Scrunch the sides all the way down to the ankle before putting your foot in . Some pressure is better than none, so just work your way up as you get more comfortable.

TIA The trick to putting on any compression sock or sleeve is that you need to turn it inside out. For the socks you leave the foot part right side out and get the sock on and over your ankle/heel. Then don't pull up the sock by the "top" of the sock opening. You kind of roll it right side out and up your leg at the same time. Essentially you are putting on the sock by passing less material over the ankle/heel choke point. sockwellusa.com/pages/how-to-put-on-a-compression-sockI am not endorsing these socks but they have a good video and step by step instruction for getting them on. Also make sure you are not using too tight of compression.
