Ok, so mine I knew existed, but I never knew how wonderful they were until I bought one - a towel warmer. It's a bucket type, with up to 12 hrs delay, and a timer (20, 40 or 80 min). However, due to the way my bathroom is configured, it's somewhat of a hassle to use. My bathroom is divided into 2 rooms. One has the tub and 2 sinks, and the other has the shower and the toilet. For whatever reason, whoever designed it couldn't conceive of a need for outlets in the shower portion. So, I either A) plug it in out there by the sinks, set my delay (so it will already be on and warming my towel when I get up for work) then unplug it and put it next to the shower or B) Do the same as A, only using an extension cord so that it stays on while I shower.
It's soooooooooooooooo nice not having a cold towel in the winter! I don't know how/why we didn't get one before. Going to have to buy a second one for the other bathroom though because we've been moving it back and forth. I have been looking at towel warmers for a while! Can you provide a link? This is the one I got. Towel Warmer #1 And this is the one I just ordered today for the other bathroom. Towel Warmer #2

I've never lost a pair either. It would be handy to only have to carry 1 case though, considering I switch from regular glasses to sunglasses. I once had prescription sunglasses too. Found them to be a nuisance having to switch each time I went indoors or outdoors. So I have been wearing glasses with photochromic lenses for years. My problem with those is they don’t turn dark inside a car. At least the pair I had didn’t. Something about the car glass not letting the type of light rays that are required to turn the eye glasses dark through. Driving is when I need sunglasses the most!! So I stuck with both prescription sunglasses and regular glasses.

My two useful later in life discoveries have been the importance of buying good quality shoes if you walk or stand a lot at work, and welding sleeves for gardening with wicked thorny bushes like wild blackberries.
I used to have a lot of foot problems from standing/walking a lot at work - heel spurs, mostly. Then I bought a pair of ECCO shoes based on a recommendation from a travel book for good shoes for traveling (they recommended ECCOS and Merrills). They’re more expensive than my cheap ass wanted to spend, but not only were they comfortable for traveling, all my foot problems went away.
The welding sleeves have Kevlar threads and keep my arms from getting all scratched up. I kept having allergic reactions to the blackberry scratches, so the sleeves have been amazing.

I would use my dryer for a towel warmer.

Yep😀 tried those cute but wimpy gardening sleeves - they are almost useless against the death thorns growing in my lawless back yard.

I would use my dryer for a towel warmer. How would that work? It would be cold again by the time you got done with the shower. Or, (unless you have a dryer in the same room as your shower) you walk - wet - to the dryer. Neither seem like they'd be optimal.

I thought I had seen some death thorns in all my years of gardening. That is until my son planted a few lemon trees a while back and I got the call that lemons were ready for picking. Keep in mind I had only picked a lemon from tree once and it was eons ago in Florida. Boy did I learn what death thorns are. Just trying to prune trees back with long handled pruning sheers is not safe but I give it my best shot!! Gotta earn my keep for picking lemons at their peak I do have a denim jacket that I wear and it does a pretty good job of protecting my arms but then it's hot as he## but I work really fast.

I live in flip flops, even in the house. when I moved to this current house and discovered I had a perfect standing height "desk" in my kitchen peninsula, I found myself standing most of the day, every day. well, my beloved $25 Tevas are squishy, but not quite that squishy. I splurged on a pair of $70 Oofos slides and let me tell you, these things are MAGICAL. I picked the slides so I could wear socks in the winter. I just bought a new pair in a bright color because they were cheaper. these don't leave the house, why would I care what color they are? lol...

I might need to check out those Oofos because I too live in sandals except for the coldest days and I feel they are no longer giving my aging joints the support they need on hard floors (house is all ceramic tile and hardwood).

Nice! What kind did you go with? We just got our 2nd one yesterday. It looked very similar to the one you linked to. It had good ratings. I can't do the warmer in the wall like they do in England. I'm so happy you posted about it because the cats sit on my towels while I shower and I have to fight them so I can dry off.

My towel rack is actually above a heat register, but when the heat is on one cat likes to sit on top of the register so HE gets all the heat, lol.

Maddow does likes to sit on the heat register in the bathroom, too. He definitely gets all of the heat. Only one of my chonks can fit on the register so Amelia doesn't get the opportunity.
We shall see where I put it when it arrives and I see how it works.
It may be like the space heater and it's only plugged in when I am going to shower.

I snuggle my towels coming out of the dryer. You are right about the after bath warm towel.

Hubs put a heated floor in DD's bathroom in Texas, it was wonderful. Son and DIL were talking about the heated floors in the houses in Korea and how nice it was. I would think it was too. For some reason don't seem to do it here.
Ummm, I can smell my beans cooking. And it shouldn't be too long till my rolls are high enough to bake.
Son said little guy was coughing today, I hope he hasn't caught this but he very well could, he slept in the other bed in our room. I have no idea what it is and yes, I'm better.
I'm watchiing Mandie and The Cherokee Treasure, its a cute show so far. Was going to read but think I will watch this. It's from 2011 and has Hayley Mills in it.
I think I'm going to get DIL to go around and look at some of the houses I've seen on listings just to see the area they are in. Shelton is a ways out but the prices go down when you get away from here.
