She always seemed like a calm, steady, practical, un-fancy First Lady who spent her time on useful causes. One of the true Christians, not someone who calls herself Christian while acting like a heathen. What a great life.

A great and gracious first lady, and a much-loved partner to Jimmy. A mother, activist, humble spokesperson for the things that mattered to her, a genuine hard worker who never found a laurel to rest on, believing there was always more to accomplish. Well done, and rest now. When Jimmy joins you, whenever that may be, you will be together again, building houses in Heaven.

Both of the Carters represented our country very well, both when President Carter was in office, and their life together after their time in the White House was over. It was never about the money for those two. We haven't seen another couple like them since. Blessings to their entire family & community.
