You are a disgusting human being if you want public flogging of people. You seemed perfectly happy with the caning of the American teen in Singapore. You wrote it and now you own it. Yes and if he would have stayed in Singapore I'll bet he wouldn't do it again. If it was done here, others would see it and think twice. Your argument about publicly caning Young people like Michael Fay falls flat on its face. The vehicle vandalism happened in September 1993. Your own linked article states Fay was released from Singapore prison on June 21, 1994 after serving 12 weeks in prison. The caning occurred right before he entered prison. Your linked article also states Fay turned 19 years old during the 12 weeks he was in prison. So between the vehicle vandalism date and when Fay was released from prison is nine months. And because Fay turned 19 years old while in prison, that means he was 18 years old before the vandalism occurred. In the United States, if someone is charged with a crime and who is at least 18 years old, their names (and often a photo of them) are published in newspapers and shown on TV. So you chose a very poor example for your Sharia-style public punishment (public caning, cutting off limb(s), beheading, etc). U.S. tv news has shown the aftermath of public beheadings in Muslim countries in the past for crimes which violate Islamic laws. Capital punishment in IslamBy the way-I know Michael Fay's step-father. And it was because of Michael Fay's step-father's employment that Fay, his mother and step-father were in Singapore. So I not only know a little bit more about this case than you do, but I know a lot more about this case than you will ever know.

One last thing, ripvanwinkle - Here is a 2023 article about a 15-year-old being charged with criminal homicide in the Nashville, TN area and identified by his name and picture. So even 15 year olds can be identified by name and picture, at least in Tennessee which is a state within the United States in case you didn't know that. 15-Year-Old Arrested for July 12 Murder on Winthorne Drive

I think some states do allow pictures and names in the case of murder.
In the Fairfield, Iowa case, the names and photos were withheld until the court determined the two then juveniles would be tried as adults.

Okay, I missed something. How did not blurring teens faces become Sharia law?
