The above article tells about using your old cell phone as a security camera.  It's called AlfredCamera.

We have tried to set up an old cell phone.  It has to be a 5.0 which our old one is not.  I got the account set up and looked a FAQs when I found out about the phone not being enough.

We are totally frustrated.  Anyhow, when we get it working it will be great.  And surprisingly, H. isn't against this camera because it is free.

I had my bicycle stolen from my back patio.  My H. is the one who noticed it was missing.  Both of us thought at during the two days before we were sure it was gone that the other one moved it to the side of the house.  

We had a brace in the patio door so that might have deterred an entry.  

Our motion light in the car port kept going on several times a night several nights in a row.  It will trigger with birds and cats or big trucks going by.  After the theft, the light has not been coming on.

The crook bypassed 6 better bicycles owned by neighbors around us including my H's bike that was newer and much nicer.

The insomniacs in the neighborhood didn't notice or hear anything odd.
