Thanks for the info. I told my neighbor about it and he showed me an article which stated the annular eclipse would be Octboer 14. The NASA article below also states the eclipse will be October 14. 2023 Annular Eclipse: Where & When

I will likely see it. I do have plans that day - but they are outdoors and still squishy. I will keep the eclipse in mind as we lock those down. I just ordered the dumb paper glasses for everyone.

I ordered 12 of the paper glasses for myself and neighbors. We will have an early day cookout while waiting for our 60% view of it.

The American Astronomical Society has a list of manufacturers, brands and resellers that are approved. You might want to check so you don’t blind your whole neighborhood 😂

The American Astronomical Society has a list of manufacturers, brands and resellers that are approved. You might want to check so you don’t blind your whole neighborhood 😂 The ones I bought were based upon these discriptions: SAFETY VIEWING FIRST: Tesyker Solar eclipse glasses are ISO certified and can filter harmful ultraviolet rays, infrared rays, and strong visible light. This makes them the safest and most effective way to view a solar eclipse. PERFECT FOR SOLAR OBSERVATION: Our eclipse glasses are the best tool for observing a solar eclipse. They are designed to protect your eyes from the harmful radiation of the sun, while still allowing you to see the amazing spectacle of the eclipse. HIGH QUALITY FILTERS: our solar eclipse glasses come with high quality filters that create a sharp orange-colored image of the sun. This makes them the perfect choice for viewing an eclipse, as they provide both safety and clarity. WO WE ARE: Tesyker is a solar eclipse international company that has been manufacturing and selling solar eclipse glasses since 2017. Our glasses are ISO-certified and NASA-approved, ensuring their safety for viewing solar eclipses. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable tools for viewing solar eclipses.

Well, certainly no shady seller would ever lie in marketing. That said, I checked the site for you and Tesyker is on there. 😉

DD2 sent me a beautiful picture of it. We were in the 90% area, so it was easily visible, with the proper eyewear.
