Yeah, my cousin had a business in the county where Menendez was county executive at the time. It was well known that you couldn't run a business there without going to Menendez's campaign fundraisers.

Sheesh. Sounds like the small town my Dad grew up in. The only businesses that survived were the ones who were members of the "commercial club".

Well I could make a joke about New Jersey and the mob, but I live in MTGs district so I don’t feel like I can cast shade on anyone else’s representative.

Living in NJ this is not a surprise. My kids had multiple friends that showed them shoeboxes filled with money in their parents closets. Actually Menendez has stood up to Biden on some issues. But he’s been a career politician and ‘reaping the benefits’ I’ll be happy to see him leave, the miserable little troll

Good! There's no good reason for a public servant to have a half a million in cash and gold in their house. Hold all ten of their feet to the fire and keep on investigating. When things like this happen, I always hope that the cash and Au found was just bribes that exceeded the bribed's ability to launder them. The possibility that they were holding cash for someone else is even scarier.

Interesting how many dem politicians are saying this guy needs to resign because he was indicted.
Compare that to the number of GOPers who claim Trump did nothing wrong and should still get to be president despite 91 indictments.

Again, it's OK if you are a republican. If they are accused, caught, indicted, it is political

I have not heard a word from Republican House members regarding boebert's indecent and sexual public display at the Beatlejuice musical. Republicans complain about members of the Democratic party being okay with grooming children.
But what do Republican House members say about boebert letting some guy publicly feel up her breasts and her giving the guy a handjob with children all around them? Nothing. Nothing at all.
McCarthy won't say a word about expelling boebert from the House because that would make even smaller the Republicans' slim majority in the House.
