GREAT, actually. as long as you are not judging it in a vacuum: tradingeconomics.com/go to the table at the bottom. sort by variable. of the 13 largest economies the US is: THIRD in lowest inflation (China is first- which is why I think it is WRONG to look at inflation without looking at GDP growth) FIRST in GDP growth (China is dead last) FOURTH in Unemployment (Japan is first) this is like going to the Olympics, and getting a Bronze and a Gold but complaining about how horribly you did. particularly since we have not been first in all three of these since the 50's. it is both economically illiterate and WRONG to say we are doing badly. the one disappointing thing is that our government spends so much unproductively in the US, primarily in defense.
