East coast girlies - I need some advice. I am going to a wedding over Thanksgiving in Boston. I have been suffering plantar fasciitis for a couple of months and am worried it will still be going on. I haven’t been dressing up at all the past year, so I am trying to think through my options. I have a pair of boots (fashion boots - not weather boots). They are black and have a heel and I can stick an insole into it. Is that okay for a wedding if I find the right dress?
And if you have any advice to get over plantar fasciitis- I will take it!!

with the right dress, yes. that's absolutely weather appropriate for Boston in November. there are also some really supportive brands of dressy flats that you can find at DSW. I have a few from when I was walking for a good chunk of my daily commute. the best advice I have ever gotten when fighting plantar fasciitis is to roll a tennis ball under the foot. good luck! also - how long will you be here?

I am by no means a fashionista, but I would say cute boots are totally acceptable for a late fall wedding.

I wore a bowtie to a wedding once.
That's all I've got.

Thanks!
chiver78 - I will be there a week. My sister lives there and will host Thanksgiving for the lot of us. I love Boston. I was born near there and visit my sister as much as I can. She will be moving next year - so this will be my last foray for a while.

I found that rolling a lax ball was better. It was smaller and firmer. Or use a frozen water bottle. But I agree, dress boots are fine. I wear them all the time in the winter with both dresses and pants.

I have a fall wedding next year, and I never even thought about boots! It's a great idea with the right dress. I am very short, so the look would have to be just right. I can wear heels now, but I'd rather not. Go for the boots and boogie!!!!!!

He might have attended the wedding of a Chippendale dancer? ArchietheDragon . Is a former Chippendale dancer. Dang! I had no idea! I'm well aware of how many female dancers study accounting but I had no idea that it applied to the boys as well.
