Anyone impacted?
I’m worried about two of my favorite cities, Savannah and Charleston.
And St Simon and Jekyll islands.
And Fripp Island.
Amelia island and all the tabby houses.
Any news?

My cousin’s daughter lives in St Petersburg. She posted that her house is flooded. She is at her Aunt’s house an hour or so inland. She said she can stay as long as she needs to.
I have other family that own property in FL too. DH talked to his brother in Coffee county GA. His 3 kids and 8 grandchildren and at least one BIL also live there. His daughter, her husband and their 6 kids are staying with him rn, bc their house burned down about a month ago. DH sent $1200 yesterday. He talked yo brother today to confirm receipt, and brother said he is afraid they may have flooding from storm surge.
I was worried about DD, she usually calls me every day, did not hear from her today, she said she would be home Thursday-I was thinking today was Thursday. Lol.

Wow, BILs family is having a run of bad luck, first a catastrophic house fire then this. Hope things look up for them. Six kids!!

Saw they had flooding in Charleston, lots of historic homes and gardens there right along the battery. Lots if old trees. Ft Sumpter is just a rocky place in the harbor with walls built up around it, on the day we visited a couple years ago it was so windy I was afraid some of the little old ladies who came over on a bus trip would blow away like dandelions when they stood on the ramparts. Can’t imagine what that was like last night.

In the Fort Myers area - the almost year old temporary roof on my townhouse is leaking (with all the rain). The rest of my family's homes are fine. The houses were all fully repaired for this hurricane season. I imagine there is a lot of woe and new water damage for the properties that have not yet gotten new roofs/repairs. It's was windy/rainy/stormy.

News confirms the battery wall in Charleston was breeched. That’s some high water.

I did hear back from friends near Amelia Island that except for minor wind damage, all is well. They didn't get the heavy rain that other areas did. It seems damage was scattered on the FL/GA line towards the East Coast.
