I had never heard about the Starlink satellite train until earlier today. Someone discussing the Perseid meteor showers this weekend said while watching for meteors, he saw some lights in the sky all in a row. Another reader told him those were the lights of the Starlink satellite train. So now I am going to keep my eye out for the next time they pass over my area of the country. Seen over Boston earlier this year. Article about the satellites and how to see them: Starlink satellite train: How to see and track it in the night skySpace-X Starlink Satellite Tracker

I saw one of these for the first time like a year or so ago? I immediately went in and Googled what the hell it was. I think they are supposed to be less naked eye visible as they gain their proper orbit, but they still cause issues with astrophotography.
I hate the further pollution of the night sky. It should be criminal.

I installed starlink at home last week, so far it has been one of the best internet services I have ever used. Us country folk finally have an alternative that works just as good as you city folk 😊
