It's time to believe Donald TrumpDonald Trump's attorneys were told by the Department of Justice last week that he may soon be indicted and arrested for alleged crimes connected to the Jan. 6 coup attempt. That would make the third time that Trump is indicted and arrested for allegedly committing crimes this year. The ex-president also faces an indictment in Georgia for additional alleged crimes connected to the events of Jan. 6 and the plot against American democracy. Also on Thursday, special counsel Jack Smith and his investigators filed additional charges against Trump that include obstructing justice in connection with the Mar-A-Lago stolen classified documents case. If Trump is found guilty of committing all of these alleged crimes, he may spend the rest of his life in prison. How is Donald Trump going to respond? Predictably. He will threaten and encourage, through direct means as well as stochastic terrorism and other veiled commands, acts of violence, chaos, mayhem and murder. To that point, in response to his impending indictment and arrest for the crimes of Jan. 6, Trump is behaving like an unrepentant reprobate, as he rants and throws a fit on his Truth Social disinformation platform. Trump's verbal explosions there these last few days include statements such as: "We'll have fun on the stand with all of these people that say the Presidential Election wasn't Rigged and Stollen. THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY!!!"
"2024 ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" "PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT!!!" "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"
"They ought to throw Deranged Jack Smith and his Thug Prosecutors in jail, with Meritless Garland and Trump Hating Lisa Monaco. They have totally Weaponized the Department of Injustice. Whatever happened to the Crooked Joe Biden Boxes Case? Why was Hillary Clinton allowed to delete 33,000 emails, many of them Classified, AFTER getting a Subpoena from Congress? Why was Bill Clinton allowed to take tapes out of the W.H. in his socks? Why has no other President ever been charged? ELECTION FRAUD!"

There are a lot of things to object to in Trumps statements. but its the random use of capital letters that really push me over the edge. If you can't grasp the basic rules of proper nouns, how on earth should we entrust an entire country to you.

but here is something that he REALLY gets wrong, in todo:

in the third world, there is no need to have the courts go after people, and in fact, they don't. they simply kill them. there is no judicial system, for the most part. in functioning first world nations, the courts do their job and make sure that people follow the law. that is what distinguishes us. and that is why we MUST prosecute Trump to the fullest extent of the law, and if he is found guilty, sentence him appropriately. it is to keep us from BECOMING a Third World nation.

in the third world, there is no need to have the courts go after people, and in fact, they don't. they simply kill them. there is no judicial system, for the most part. When one goggles third world judiciary, one finds a lot about the corruption in their judiciary systems, not a lack of them. |

What are the odds Trump enters a plea and agrees to not run for president again in order to make all these charges go away?
He’s burned through 100 million bucks in campaign donations defending himself - if this keeps up he may have to start spending his own money, and that would about kill him.

He makes up stories and his supporters buy it. Hillary and who she hired was allowed to delete those emails anymore than he was allowed to keep those docs for 18 months before a raid finally happened. But he embellishes his Trump victim story because it works for him as his supporters refuse to notice his misconduct is the reason this is all happening. Its not some weird get Trump thing like he claims. Stop committing crimes and there can be no new prosecution. Simple. But not if being lawless and committing crimes is something you are so used to doing you cannot stop. He commits slander and libel in most of his posts.  |

Rachel Maddow thinks the odds are considerable, and cites Agnew as an example. i think she is completely deluded. any sort of a bargain like that would be an admission of guilt, and Trump never has done that, and never will. this is why i keep asking people about how they will react when he is convicted. because surely he will be. the DC judge won't let him run out the clock, and i doubt that Georgia will, either. PS- the number is about half that for legal fees, but by the time it is done, it will certainly be nine figures. |

He commits slander and libel in most of his posts. one of the most interesting tidbits to emerge was in the documents case when he was quoted as saying something like "Hillary just hired someone to delete 30k emails, why don't one of you guys do that for me?" to cover up his wrongdoing. so, yeah. this is all for show. Trump knows he is a fucking thief. |
