I don't know about political. There are theme parks all over the country. If it has good rides and attractions, it should do well.

i don't know enough about the economics of amusement parks to comment. i don't think the theme necessarily dooms it. there are a lot of factors that figure into success of this kind of an enterprise. location and timing come to mind.

With raising temperatures and sea levels, Oklahoma sounds like it might be a good competitive spot to parks in California and Florida.

Oklahoma weather will dictate when it is open. Not a year-round attraction.

IDK reading about it I think theme wise it would do well in the Heartland. What will ensure its success is the rides and the price tag.
It's going to bring jobs and money into that area which is not a bad thing. A lot of rural areas are hurting as family farming dies out. Something needs to be replace it. An amusement park will attract other businesses to the area helping to prop up the local economy and offer jobs.
Things like this are way overdue. Family farming is dying and a long with it many of the midwestern states. We can't keep trying to prop it up. This is something new for Oklahoma to try, if it works maybe other states can follow in revamping themselves into tourist locations.

Oklahoma is on it's way to becoming a hazardous living environment. broiling hot summers and glacial winters. not a good location, imo. but like i say, i am not an amusement park guy. maybe it will be the best one ever.

Maybe Oklahoma will add an ark. Just a matter of time.

I don't know much about it, but if it brings jobs to the area, and makes it more affordable for Midwest families to take a Disney like vacation, I don't see much of a downside. I know it can be crazy expensive for families in that area to travel to California or Florida for the Disney experience.
I know the Midwest has a lot of theme parks, I went to one with my cousin in Missouri as a teen, but they are all pretty small in size compared to this.
The only place I've ever been to in Oklahoma was Oklahoma City, but I had a blast there! And the BBQ is something special. I would be tempted to visit this park.

Your country is almost like a continent in itself, with the various different landscapes and climates. Why not celebrate it?

Why not celebrate it? because i am a climate junkie. it is my #1 determinant of where i will live. i can't speak for anyone who loves getting chewed up and spit out by mosquitoes in the Summer and having to wear 17 layers in Winter, though. REJOICE, i guess?
