I've been getting a call a couple times a week from "Radius Global" each call has a different phone number in Florida - so I suspect it's spoofing. I suspect it's someone who wants to buy one of my properties.
But, since "Radius Global" appears to be a debt collection agency it got me wondering what was the best way to find out if I did actually have a debt in collections?
Should I check my credit report? Is there some other way to find out without answering one of these calls?
Any suggestions?
I don't believe I have any unpaid bills in Florida.

I would check my credit report. I would not answer the phone. Then you have been officially notified.

I feel your confusion. I might have a debt in collections too, and I'm just so frustrated about it that I'm not doing anything about it.
It's a medical debt. I vomited at work during Covid-time and couldn't come back to work until I had been cleared by testing (rapid tests weren't a thing then). I got the test, offered to pay, got told that anything COVID was no-charge, and went back to work four days later.
Apparently, I did or said something in the process that allowed the clinic to bill me for something that didn't get covered by the Covid exemption and they sent that bill to an address that I have not lived at for over a decade (although I am still using checks with that address on them). I cannot get any answer from either the collection agency or the hospital that operates the clinic as to what is going on. I haven't pulled my credit report recently to see if I am being dinged. I just do not want to deal with the multiple levels of weasel-dom involved. I might find myself cursing at a messenger.

I actually returned their call when it happened to me. Then I asked for proof, which was sent. I called the medical lab and tried to get them to just bill me, they said that they had tried contacting me multiple times to no success. The original bill was for $70, after I had paid them thousands over my medical nightmare. They wouldn’t (or couldn’t) accept payment, so I paid the collection agency. I think I owed them just over $100.
After the dust had settled, I had called everyone I had dealt with asking for a final accounting. The lab quoted (and billed) me a number $70 short. I thought all was done, they lied.
