I would not be surprised if part of his motive was he did not want to financially support them anymore. If one daughter ran away, this family had a minimum of four kids, and he does not look wealthy or with it. I'm glad I can't see pics as things like this happen from time to time and usually because the parent feels like cannot financially support them anymore. I think this year that woman killed her family right before they were going to be evicted. Is this the post birth abortion the RWers are always going on about?

I was familiar with these cruel murders. On GMA (ABC) this morning, a chyron stated the father might get the death penalty for his crime.
Well deserved if it happens.

Just another day in America. Sad, but nothing new here. We continue to tolerate there horrors for no good reason. We hear about “thoughts and prayers”, but our political leaders do nothing so it can happen again. Rinse and repeat

Maybe social media needs to start talking about all the other people effected by this - the family, the neighbors, the friends, and of course the first responders.
This guy didn't just kill 3 of his kids - he dramatically and directly effected I'm going to say dozens of other people.
It's not just the dead or wounded who are effected by gun violence.

Or maybe it was the pressure and stress of having so many children because the couple was duty and obligation bound to have all of them. There is so much romanticization of having a big family/growing up in a big family - like everyday is sunshine and rainbows. And then what happens when it doesn't turn out that way? I'm sure it puts pressure on everyone in the family. Dare I make a comparison to the Titan submersible? Time after time it took the pressure (possibly with a slowly failing part) until it couldn't.

That's possible as well. I did not grow up with the romance of a big family, so it does not resonate with me. My mom wanted two kids but my youngest sister was the oops. She wanted to return to work, and she had to delay that for awhile. It also meant the family had fewer resources for a year or two than we might have had. But it was all good, we always had food, but I realized how frugal she was and how much I did not want to be that frugal with my eating when I went to college.

Uber driver killed by passenger - Good. She is charged with murder. UPDATE: Tompkinsville woman now charged with murder after Uber driver diesEL PASO, Tex. (WBKO) – A Tompkinsville woman is now facing a murder charge after police say she shot a Texas Uber driver. Police arrested Phoebe Copas, 48, on June 16 after she allegedly shot Daniel J. Piedra Garcia, 52, of El Paso. He was driving her to a casino in the El Paso Mission Valley area, police said. He was employed through the ridesharing program Uber. “At some point during the drive, Copas thought she was being taken into Mexico and shot Piedra,” according to a news release from Texas authorities. Police say Piedra was shot in the back of the head with a revolver-style pistol. Rest of article here: UPDATE: Tompkinsville woman now charged with murder after Uber driver dies

Uber driver killed by passenger - Some of you may be familiar with the internet site NEXTDOOR. I local woman posted the below. She believes if if she spots someone outside her home breaking into her vehicle, she is allowed to use deadly force. In later followup posts, some of the readers agreed with her. Others like myself tried to explain Stand Your Ground laws to the others to no avail. No one is fearing for their life if they witness from afar someone breaking into a vehicle. The woman below is one individual who should have zero access to any type of firearm. I understand her frustration but playing judge and jury cannot be tolerated.

I’m guessing mental illnesses steeped in years of GOP fear mongering about villainous Mexicans intent on raping white women. Poor guy, driving Uber to support his family and ends up killed by a nut job.

I don't understand why she didn't ask him to stop right away instead of an execution style shooting. Get out of the car and move on. Call the police on your phone. Something else than shooting a driver in the back of the head because you are fearful and unfocused.

That would be foolish to call him a responsible gun owner

How do you propose we identify irresponsible gun owners so these things don’t happen? Or do we just accept this as necessary as the price of freedom?

That would be foolish to call him a responsible gun owner Why? There is no evidence of him not taking proper care of his guns or locking them up. No evidence of him shooting things that he did not intend to shoot. Gun owners shoot people. That's why most of them buy guns. Gun owners shoot family members more often than they shoot criminals. This is also known and known probably for decades.
