It's not even tit for tat. It's just open retaliatory politics. Not that I ever really thought they did, but they just keep proving over and over how little credibility they have.
I really don't get how people can continue to support this clown show in the numbers they do.

Well, the Republican house needs to do something to make good on their promises to their base.
It's not like they can do anything about most of the stuff they got their base all riled up about.
If the Republican don't have something to toot their horn about accomplishing the MAGAt base may turn on them.

FWIW: I'm pretty sure trump's re-election platform is how he will retaliate against anyone he doesn't like or who has crossed him in the past. He's literally campaigning on getting back at the people who have wronged, thwarted, or disagreed with him.

I'd seen bits on Twitter about MTG calling Boebert a little b****. Now I know why. Sure sounds like middle school.

Teen pretty much nailed it. These are the people we put in charge of running our country and they can't even get past the high school drama. Heaven help us all.

Well, Boebert didn't actually graduate HS; I think she needed multiple tries on the GED.

Greene graduated both HS and College, although I’m certain both institutions cringe when she opens her mouth about Jewish space lasers and peach tree dishes. Oh yeah, and she didn’t realize Ukraine was in Europe. Her daddy had money, I’m guessing he was able to somehow grease the educational wheels for her. Or maybe she got hit on the head after school and it knocked all the knowledge out - who knows.

So Boebert will bring her impeachment motion back to the House floor every single day she’s in congress. Great use of the House time. An even better motivation for the folks back in Colorado to give her the boot. (She barely got re-elected last time). What a useless person.

What a useless person. the guy who nearly beat her is running against her again. he will probably win, for about a dozen reasons, not the least of which is that on-presidential years tend to favor Democrats.

The Republican-led push for a congressional pay increase comes just weeks after GOP leaders negotiated a debt ceiling agreement with President Joe Biden that imposes new work requirements on older recipients of federal food aid, a change that experts say is likely to strip benefits from around 750,000 low-income people. Congressional Republicans are also pushing for even steeper cuts to federal spending than were agreed upon in the debt ceiling deal, threatening a government shutdown. Meanwhile, the House GOP is working to pass legislation that would hand the top 1% of U.S. earners $28 billion in tax cuts next year.www.commondreams.org/news/house-republicans-raiseThey are doing what they do best!

Yup. Scr*wing the middle class & the poor. But amazingly, they don't include that fact in their campaign commercials.

Will the do nothing party actually do it? But the House GOP leader — who has felt compelled to stay neutral during the primary so as to not box in his own members — wasn’t ready to do that. To calm Trump, McCarthy made him a promise, according to a source close to Trump and familiar with the conversation: The House would vote to expunge the two impeachments against the former president. And — as McCarthy would communicate through aides later that same day — they would do so before August recess. www.politico.com/news/2023/07/20/kevin-mccarthy-donald-trump-impeachment-expunge-promise-00107236I enjoy watching McCarthy twisting in the wind to Trump's whims. I actually enjoy watching all the Republicans twisting in the wind to that man. They had their chance to be rid of him. Hard to choose between what was right and the right wing MAGA mob, I guess.

[br I’m surprised McCarthy doesn’t have whiplash going from blaming Trump on the House floor the day after J6 to his current stance that Trump didn’t do anything wrong and should have his impeachments expunged. Spineless sycophant trying to keep hold of his position.

Wonder if they do "expunge" them if the vote will even get a footnote in history books?

If our great grand kids live in Trumplandia, under the reign of Donald Trump the Sixth, their history books won’t mention impeachment at all.
